Thanks this tut worked for me and it worked on my first try. Might wanna hint that you don't want to start in the middle of running up the infinite stairs because it constantly moves you down a few steps which messes up your speed, unless you start at the bottom of the stairs.

@guitarXcss Nah. Once you get upstairs, the game treats it as if you got there legitimately.

I already nkew how to do that first you have to long jump thats Z+A=longjump first you have to long jump faceing the camera and then you push the thing foward and then press a as rapidly as you can i would want to show you it but i cant at my other dads house he has a nintendo 64 i almost beat the game with 45 stars!

when u start getting the quick mini jumps do u keep pressing jump or does it just take you up?

Keep tapping the A button until you get all the way up. Make sure the control stick is pointing downwards and you're still holding the Z button.

hey is z jump and a crouch ot a jump and z crouch?

Hold forward (up on control stick), then press and hold Z, followed by A to jump. The A button should always come after Z or else you'll just do a butt stomp.

ok, it works on the virtual console one. Search for "Super Mario 64: Endless Stairs Glitch and Ending" on Youtube by mariomguy. He did it on his. Just try to make sure you're going up straight and not to the left or the right, or else you'll slow down. Keep the camera always facing the way I had it. Which glitch are you trying to do? The smaller stairs or the endless stairs? The smaller stairs are a bitch. Sometimes you just have to be lucky with that one. If you can, try the endless ones first.

You're using the N64 version right? The first one takes a lot of practice. Just try to keep the camera facing up towards the door (with Mario facing you). I took this video straight from my N64, not an emulator, so it should work.
