holy fuck!! i didnt know they made an anime series based on SO2., then again they make animes for a lot of games, comics etc in japan. this is sweet! and its subbed. does this cover the entire game or just has the characters and its a new story>?
Sooo.....what happened to Claude communicating with his father, them all being transported off Expel. Then Claudes dad dying when his ship gets blown up.
Not to mention Rena going to her home planet....Chisato didn't even make an appearence....QQ. I love the anime, but it covers only half the story.
think some parts in the anime is mouch better then the game, the moments between claode and rena is better, too bad there not any PA s in the game like episode 9 or 26. even when there shipwrecked is mouch better in my oppinion. so i hate that there is no season 2, if someone just could buy the rights and finnish it.

I played it and got my friends hooked on it. That was before it became really popular. And, it is a shame, you don't see a lot of good games like Star Ocean anymore. I really love how they made the replay value so awesome by making hard mode and "please just kill yourself" mode, lol.

@RocmanRaz The manga (the one based on Second Story, the original game) is really awesome; I'd recommend it to everyone, seeing as it has great artwork, and a lot of good character development. Sadly, it also stops around the same place, but it follows the game a little closer, I think. You can't get it in the USA anymore. Best bet is to find one used, but that's going to be difficult as well.
People have finally learned what a great game it is and have hoarded all the remaining copies for the most part. Even the strategy guide is near impossible to find, and when you do, it'll cost you about $80 for one.
Check AMAZON or Half dot com. Those are both good sources that usually have a few of em. Though be prepared to pay at LEAST $60 for a used copy. $130+ for a new one.

so2 is possibly one of the best games ever created...and if you havent played it yet...you need to...buy it off ebay is your best bet..but the game has crafting...almost an unlimited amount of different endings..tons of different techniques and spells for each character..many different routes to take int he game and can choose to play with all different combos of characters...and the battle system is the best of ALL time i STRONGLY suggest checking it out asap

I some how knew that 23 episodes is a little too early to end the show. They still have one more chance to save the world and figure out how to permenently destroy the Sorcerry Globe. I wonder if they can do it.

Ronyx death really pissed me off. Even thought I think he's the shittiest character in SO1 he's Ronyx.

Oh, they did complete it, on Drama Track CDs. Japanese only of course, and quite rare to find on the market.

Enix didn't make it. Tri-Ace was the company who made the Star Ocean games. Enix only published it.
The game itself is very good and takes quite a while to beat. Good luck getting ahold of it at this point, though.

its cool but be warned the enemie difficulty goes between really easy and really hard ALOT. there is never like a normal setting.
