Like everything else especially in the software package world, SAP is a bundle of joys and sorrows. Many will swear by the software's greatness and some will use swear words. It all depends. The word "depends" is a very favorite word of SAP consultants. But somehow SAP has had a long successful run mainly because it is a German software. Any software say if it is made by an Indian software vendor, it would have had an early death, considering the difficulty in using , the number of bugs etc
Song is true. SAP blows- farthest thing from "cool" in all technology. Costs a fortune to implement, makes consulting companies rich, and nobody in charge of the project ever admits it. Support is usually outsourced once it's barely working. Looking forward to the next wave of SAP replacement projects and the pendulum swinging back to "insourcing". It's amazing that now that computers are so cheap and easy to use, this archaic, generic, overpriced piece of shit can be so "successful".
why does someone spend time about something he doesn't like? however, some remarks about UI might be right, but things are getting much better with portal, java, VC, WDP and so on

SAP is written in Cobol. Well, an "advanced" dialect of Cobol called ABAP.
