This is a classic comedy, excellent film not like those new ones today with forced jokes etc... i remember screaming in laughter watching this for the first time. The "Yo Rumsfield" scene is a bliss, Tom Hanks is excellent here entire cast is awsome, you get the feeling like you live in that street and as if you know these characters entire life. They are so well done, excellent film.

I don't understand why this movie is not appreciated as one of the greatest comedys of all time. I watch it every October, and I laugh my ass off everytime. Everyone in it is superb. Every scene is a gem. Even the music is great. Art chanting in the basement "I want to kill everyone...Satan is goooood, Satan is my paaaaaaal" cracks me up no matter how many times I hear it.

Yer this movie is certainly a classic, its a feel good movie and the gags and lines are spot on from start to finish.  It kind of depicts this wonderful and dreamy like suburban living where everybody is a caracature unto themselfs.

Now if only all streets were filled with these sorts of goings on. :)

BRAVO! Being my favorite 80s movie (one of them) I would normally turn my nose up at any fan made attempt 2 make a music video to the scenes. But this rocked! And I hate new rock bands today. So many of them suck & sound the same. But this particular band you picked had that 80s feel with the background female vocals. It also had a real sense of feeling which is what is missing in so many songs today. It all worked in perfect chemistry (the music along with the scenes you picked). 5 stars!

1 of the best comedic buddy films of the late 80s, very comparable to STRIPES, GHOSTBUSTERS well, all 80s movies rocked including this one. I loved the subtle moments like the can crushing when he got mad. I even liked the scene where Rick kept eating all the food. Every time I see that scene it makes me want pancakes and bakon. Nobody catches Rick picking food out of the dog bowl, then Princess Leigha putting the bowl down for VINCE the dog to eat out of during the breakfast scene.
