  • Shyt...I have an 89 dually with a rebuilt 7.3L in it, oil pressure would drop once it warmed up. Probably seized by now, good sounding engines though

  • Sorry did'nt see your comment sooner but been busy. Yep I have a 1989 f-250 diesel, replaced the glow plugs but they were not the problem. Had a bad voltage regulator ended up killing both of my batteries, just glad both batt. were under warranty. Still drive the truck every day,one thing to watch out for is for some reason this year of truck rots out in the rocker panels and driver side floor boards. Been looking at a 88 thats in real good shape, bad engine been thinking of eng. swap.

  • i have a 1989 7.3 with 650,000 thousand miles on it and it is still going, but have to replace the glow plugs and the high idle-cold idle solinoid.

  • @jer122771 Really? holy crap! i might sell my 2000 chevy malibu soon and theres a 89 7.3 with only 97k on it for 4500, with minor rust but i only care about engine and tranny.
