I don't understand how people are even willing to download and play games that promote unfair advantage with micropayments. No matter how such a game that insults sportsmanship looks like, it can't be relevant for esports and it can't be worth your time. Same goes for Global Agenda.

I'm new to the game and am enjoying it very much so far. This "buy a booster to use your jetpack in the city" is a lame ploy though in my opinion and not very news worthy. I don't have an elite account so I'm already getting a slap in the face when I complete a mission with the results of what I could have had listed before me, lol. Considering the game is free now on Steam, with no monthly fee, micro-transactions are completely justified. Maintaining a server isn't free you know, and the devs have to make money from their game.
God damn, why do people hate this game so much? A lot of them are just plain WRONG. Additionally, people never complain about playing the same game modes repeatedly in games like TF2; why complain about them here?
@Raklryja tf2 isn't an mmo so comparing it to global agenda is like comparing a mountain to a lake but i'll try to explain anyways, the game modes tf2 has are fun due to playing against actual players. and their isn't really repetition in the game because you can't use the same strategy without it eventually being countered by the other team. global agenda tends to get boring because winning constantly against the ai is boring. when people know the outcome they lose interest.
@jackel999 That's why there's PvP (which was what I was comparing). Also, since comparisons seem to piss you off, what about Left 4 Dead? Like GA, it's against NPCs, each mission is a combination of elements resulting in good variety, and it's teamwork-oriented. You know the outcome of L4D; does it make it less fun to play it multiple times?
@Raklryja can you honestly say that you have played L4D and won on every difficulty every single time? and no i wasn't pissed off about the comparison it just seemed like a shitty comparison to me and still does. L4D compared to GA does make more sense since it has both PvP AND PvE(Vs and co-op modes) like GA. And the reasons L4D is more fun: 1. it has zombies 2. it doesn't have a level system thus no grind 3. the AI is smarter (seems ironic to me that zombies are smarter then the enemies in GA)
@jackel999 Versus is hardly like PvP; that's why I brought up TF2. (breach=cp, payload=pl, etc., which you still seem to fail to understand) I haven't won L4D every single time, though I'm not sure what kind of point you're trying to make. I find GA fun for the social part, the skill based combat (as compared to other MMO's where level makes more of a difference), and AvA. I'm not sure how much you've played the game, but GA works for me because it has shooter and MMO elements. To each his own.
While the jetpack in the city is fun, it would be a better idea to give the elite agents more items, so others would buy the game. Also, more new PVE missions (maps and bosses) instead of flair. A good simple idea would be an escort through a gauntlet of enemies lower level players through the desert to a mission that they themselves have to finish.

They gave all of us who bought the game free elite subscriptions for a while even though I didn't even use it. I think people are just tired of being treated like stupid customers that will buy anything because of Item Shops. Or maybe that's just me. Nothing personal to HiRez.
HiRez... all I can say is "NICE FAIL". You officially disappointed me. I think what you should do is focus on DLCs instead of "Agenda Points". Make DLCs, put them on Steam for 3,99€ each, and now you're making money and not disappointing your fans. For example: Colony Skyship, a big open-zone fort like TRAFALGAR map, with big robotic centipedes or moths as bosses. Hell, you could even put some cyborg stuff or mutants, I wouldn't mind. And add new weapons, like the Powerfist, Laserbow or Plasma.
Anyways I like how GA is marketed as a mmo and attracts the pve crowd into this game. Nothing like seeing them die 15+ times in pvp and realising that pvp is brutal in this game.
I couldnt care less about flying in dome city. What rly bothers me is Hirez's priority focus on this game. It needs to fix its bugs and add more content to pvp like new maps. Instead they spend their time on flairs, dyes and this. The customer service from Hirez is horrible. The way they've treated the EU community like they doesnt exist and not giving Pac/Asian community a server yet. The game hasnt been optimized as in fps and somehow for an instanced game it eats your cpu like no other game

One of the main selling points of the game is the jetpacks, when a new player joining the game finds out that you only can use jetpacks in dome city with a boost too its gonna look like alot of money to them that they need to spend so they will probably loose interest. Not a good marketing idea from HiRez atall.
@PrimalAim Yes, But when the new player is given a jetpack very early on, they would soon realize that they could use it out of the dome, especially since the quests push them into the desert very quickly

We dont need jet packs in dome, this is just a good way for a small company to earn some money. Plus boosters are cheap and offer a lot more. Atleast they arent saying "PAY $50 FOR JET PACK TRAINING"
All gamers should realize that all MMOs are trying to scam us in some way. Just look how Call of Duty is trying to get their greedy hands on subscription fee services. There needs to be a serious penalty for it IMO - mass boycots. Unfortunately games like World of Warcraft get away with it and nobody cares. So I'd say Blizzard is the root cause of the problem and why this is happening every day.

@LevSix Agreed, that or allow all hair styles and face changes when you make your original character...but that still wouldn't let those who already have leveled up characters to change theirs. At the same time, most people use helms that cover everything anyways. Great new feature, but I think by having it only available with boost, they are pissing off a lot more people than they are making happy. Also, I don't think being able to jet in Dome is going to draw any extra people into boosting.

@pylonsdan If you actually read my comment, you'd see I did pay for the game. And I said Jetpacking is not a new feature. All you do in the game is fly around in a jetpack. Adding it inside the dome/market area is hardly groundbreaking. At any rate, I already got bored of playing this game. The PVE is ridiculously short, the PVP is mediocre at best and that pretty much leaves you with standing around the dome, showing off your glowing armor and pretending it's Second Life. :/
Only with a boost? I'm not gonna spend money on something I don't need. Most of my chars are lvl 50 already and I don't play often enough anymore to warratn spending money on a boost either.

Only people with a BOOST? No sir, I don't like it. This is a feature I've been waiting for forever, and it requires me to purchase something I no longer even really can have any use for. The fact that the jetpack in the city is something that is a basic usability feature due to how long it can take to run around completing errands is just icing on the cake.

it's a ploy to sell boosters and boosters are honestly worth it if you play enough it 2x everything in the game and plus now you get to use the jet pack in the dome which honestly it's prob a numbers thing because it would prob make the game lag if everyone inside the dome was using a jet pack so this is a way to make it happen for those of you who really want a jet pack and it's a way of showing your support because the pretty characters are the ones that pay hi-rez that's the way it works

One of the main selling points of the game is the jetpacks, when a new player joining the game finds out that you only can use jetpacks in dome city with a boost too its gonna look like alot of money to them that they need to spend so they will probably loose interest. Not a good marketing idea from HiRez atall.

We dont need jet packs in dome, this is just a good way for a small company to earn some money. Plus boosters are cheap and offer a lot more. Atleast they arent saying "PAY $50 FOR JET PACK TRAINING"

I have to say I'm not shocked by this at all.
All gamers should realize that all MMOs are trying to scam us in some way. Just look how Call of Duty is trying to get their greedy hands on subscription fee services. There needs to be a serious penalty for it IMO - mass boycots. Unfortunately games like World of Warcraft get away with it and nobody cares. So I'd say Blizzard is the root cause of the problem and why this is happening every day.

@LevSix Agreed, that or allow all hair styles and face changes when you make your original character...but that still wouldn't let those who already have leveled up characters to change theirs. At the same time, most people use helms that cover everything anyways. So it doesn't bother me that much except that it's really turning into other free to play games making things that only people spending money on it can have.

Great new feature, but I think by having it only available with boost, they are pissing off a lot more people than they are making happy. Also, I don't think being able to jet in Dome is going to draw any extra people into boosting.

@pylonsdan If you actually read my comment, you'd see I did pay for the game. And I said Jetpacking is not a new feature. All you do in the game is fly around in a jetpack. Adding it inside the dome/market area is hardly groundbreaking. At any rate, I already got bored of playing this game. The PVE is ridiculously short, the PVP is mediocre at best and that pretty much leaves you with standing around the dome, showing off your glowing armor and pretending it's Second Life. :/

Only people with a BOOST? No sir, I don't like it. This is a feature I've been waiting for forever, and it requires me to purchase something I no longer even really can have any use for. The fact that the jetpack in the city is something that is a basic usability feature due to how long it can take to run around completing errands is just icing on the cake.
This makes me want to get other players to stop buying boosters until this is a perk for Elite Agents, or the like. Just dumb.
