What kind of mileage does this thing get? The new ones get 25+ mpg. So I would be surprised if this one gets 20 mpg?

Absolutely beautiful 964..on the outside...but you can see by that single exhaust and that VW engine sound it needs some cup cams, larger injectors, race exhaust,.blah, blah. BTW...you CANNOT put Recaro Seats up front without a roll bar and four point harness....basically, you YUPPIED it up, poser.

@Miguelsr1rst That one wouldn't sell for more than $15k. There are no engine mod's, he took out original stereo and leather seats and put a poser (provides no significant functional addition to the car) spoiler on the car. It's a beautiful car on the outside but it's a disaster in terms of reselling these cars. The guys who want these are 55, a few extra pounds and are looking for original parts. The Recaro seats significantly decrease the market value of this type of car.

@v6hot yeah, this car is set up "right". there's really not much to be desired. we test drive it and it hooks up properly in cornering - very balanced and tight. the recaro seats at that extra motorports feel and keep you tied down in your seat perfectly.

I had a 964_C4 back in the days and always miss it. This one is done up right except I would have installed the 964RS wing instead, good work though. Car looks very sharp.

@Jubeski very cool that you had one. did you find that maintenance of the all-wheel drive systems was really a problem at all? we've heard that C2's or a much "easier" car to own, but are curious of your experience/opinion. thanks for visiting.

@SportsCarAdvisors Yup, C4s are suppose to be more difficult to work on than the C2's. But I never had any problems with the AWD system on my C4 so I never got around to that. If I had to do it again on a 964, it will def be a C2. The C4's are a little bit heavier but more forgiving in hard turns.

A 964 C2 that is prepped like an RS or Cup will do.

Great video. Thanks so much for taking the time to show everything. Remarkable condition for its age. I have the '85 Carrera 3.2 in black, a little more warn, but with almost the very same engine noise and exterior / interior. Surprised to see only one exhaust on yours however. I have two. Man.... a dream on wheels. Iteresting to see how the lines have gotten softer over the years.
