the side that looks normal is actually the reversed concave side. i seen something about this on the histiry channel about king tuts mask, if held reveresed looks the same as the outside. if i remember correctly, it's because when reversed, the highlights and shadows of the mask create the illusion of of being 3 dimensional or that is atleast how our brains percieves it..somethign like that lol

@joanna13gate actually the dark side is the front side. check 00:04 the side profile of the dark side, you can see the nose pointing out. you try to get a side profile of the lighter side and you'll see its just the back.

@joanna13gate The shadow program buts the shadow in nearly the same location such that the relationship appears to be maintained if the face was side lite with the nose more receseesed, you might still see the nose pertudeing but it would be much elss "real" feeling
