  • i want someone to hold me like that......... *sigh* if only men nowadays bothered to get inspiration from musicals. they just don't know what's good for them...

  • Sooooooooooo romantic. I think I should have lived in the 40's & 50's.

  • Gee, they don't make them like this anymore; sad!

  • Ich habe garnicht gewußt das Marlon Brando gesungen hat!

I'm not at all know that Marlon Brando has sung!

  • I Melted when he kissed the palm of her hand. My poor un-kissed palm... :(

  • Buy this at cgi.benl.ebay.be/ws/ eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250854592780

  • i love this scene

  • Some flame deep within made them shine.

Those eyes are the eyes of a woman in love,

And may they gaze ever more into mine.

Crazily gaze, ever more, into mine....

  • thanks so much for uploading them! (:

  • Marlon Brando.... I. Love. You.

  • man!..never knew the dude could sing..awesome.

  • This particular melody is so outstanding. What is sad now is that Marlon and Jean simmons are both gone. I do miss them so much N..Sablay M,D, ret Las vegas

  • This is utterly charming! It shows that when you get two great actors together and the chemistry is there, the singing will be, too. They both captured the beautiful words and emotion of this song!

These songs are quite difficult to sing, so for these two to pull it off is quite a feat! However, when you are looking at Marlon Brando it doesn't seem to matter how he sings!

  • does anyone know where i can find an mp3 for this?

  • These two have amazing chemistry. This is no sterile fairy-tail love song...there's sex boiling just beneath the surface. Classic.

  • "daddy, i got cider in my ear"

  • It's a lovely song, but I don't know why they substituted it for "I've Never Been In Love Before", which is an equally lovely song. Too bad Brando couldn't sing to save his soul.

  • I want Marlon to walk me home, too.

  • oh my god

  • the greatest of all american musicals and brando/simmons nail it . they

are simply terrific ... the " i'll know " is also perfect.

  • Just goes to show you don't have to be a great singer to be convincing. Actually made it seem more real to me..using their own voices.

  • I love it too

  • Holy crap! Very romantic. Love it.

  • Love this duet! Of course Marlon Brando is the best! I remember doing this play in high school. I was in the Cafe' Cubana scene and I played the club dancer.

  • I really love this film...and also this wonderful song! Thanks :)

  • I'm in looovvveee. <3

  • la classe non è acqua

  • This is my favorite scene in the movie. Thank for uploading this portion.

  • LOVE this song and love them 2 god rest their souls one of my fave films eva!

  • Absolutely transcendent scene, especially as the coda to the romantic night in Havana. I know theatre snobs think the Sky role was wasted on Brando because he couldn't sing as well as any decent Broadway song and dance man, but that's not the point. To me he was perfectly cast, with innate goodness just beneath the smoldering cool, wise-guy persona. Jean Simmons was fine, too, showing the talent all too often submerged in more refined roles. A great film.

  • @motownmaniax I thought the Simpsons version with Mark Hamill as Sky is the best

rendering of this story: "Guys and dolls, we're just a bunch of crazy guys and dolls..."

  • marlon brando can sing, i think his voice is both beautiful and unusual. I adore this movie, thanks for posting the clips :)

  • I love this movie!!! I guess I am just a big fan of the classic musicals especially rogers and hammerstein!!

  • Marlon Brando Did an Excellent job in Guys And Dolls!

  • I've watched this movie now for what seems like the umpteenth time....still one of the best musicals. So what if Marlon Brando can't sing! Him & Jean Simmons matched perfectly for this & is still one of the most romantic scenes ever!!

  • lovely&sweet

  • Jean Simmons and Marlon Brando were just superb in this movie . Such a beautiful and romantic song. I saw this movie in Manila in 1955. I was just starting my medical internship at the University of Santo Tomas School of Medicine Hospital and Clinics. I am so sad that both of these stars are gone . Nony Sablay, M.D.,FACA (ret) North Las Vegas, Nv.

  • Oh...I adore this scene. Marlon & Jean were perfect together! :)

1:17 when she blushes and he pulls at her collar, so cute.

1:32 when he runs his thumb across her lips, WOW.

  • My favorite part of the film...

They just seem very real and into the moment here. (And she's sober, too!) So romantic. :D

  • Marlon Brando is so dreamy!

  • i think he's the only man i would ever describe as dreamy. clark gable comes in a close second, though...

  • or perhaps casting De Niro as a cross dressing, gay pirate in a fairytale comedy! Why indeed??lol... I think perhaps they both had a lot of fun for a change, and entertained us greatly in the process :)

  • Obviously musicals arent your taste, fine. Brando wasnt forced to do this role because they 'wanted a pretty face' - he accepted the role because it was something HE wanted to do. He and Jean had a lot of fun(despite ol' blue eyes ' occasional diva tantrums) and it shows. As for wasting Brando's talent, my goodness he has a whole catalogue of

2nd rate films he wasted his talent making over the years, this isn't one of them.

  • I know you wrote this comment over a year ago, but must reply: While I did enjoy this film (not one of Marlon's best, I'll just watch ANYTHING he's in,) this is not a picture Marlon was gung-ho about doing at all. According to his biography, he was under contract to MGM to do a few pictures and HAD to fulfill his duties. While he enjoyed working with Jean, if he were'nt under contract, his script would have been one of many in his waste basket. I can see his heart wasn't in this, just working.

  • @tristansladyhawk Neither pulled it off. DeNiro was terrible in that and seemed way out of his depth. But a good example of Brando having a lot of personal fun on a movie, where he openly mocks the entire production and has a ball doing it, is his Island of Dr. Moreau movie.

  • @selfidentity1 Absolutely beautiful haunting melody - Woman In Love - which I think was an add-on for the

1955 MGM Movie. The '50 B'Way show didn't have "Woman In Love." But remember seeing the movie as a very

young 20 year old. This is the kind music we grew up- on, loved and took for granted.

  • farewell to Jean Simmons...

  • This movie would have been ridiculously bad if it weren't for Brando. He has swagger and makes everything he touches turn to gold. He's the only reason this movie is even watch-able.

  • I know you've had tons of comments like this, but I just have to post something... THANK YOU sooooo much for posting this video, it's a given I'm playing this clip at my wedding. Brando is my favorite actor and he was an extraordinary man. I love this song, and when I first watched this it brought me to tears.. it's truly amazing... VIVA BRANDO!!!!

  • i love this movie. marlon brando makes the funniest faces when he sings.

i am a sucker for frank sinatra.

  • i am so crazy about him.

  • marlon brando is my god

  • beautiful song but poor marlon cant sing

  • @RATCRAB '

    can't sing at all.

  • He's not that bad... :D

  • I love this song every time I hear it! ^_^ Thanks for posting it, I listen to it multiple times a month haha :)

  • Marlon brando, there will never be a more perfect man. could his acting get anymore perfect

  • i think both actors were so talented and have amazing voices! Just love it!

  • Oh my...I'm in love with Marlon Brando.

    :)

  • My favorite actor and actress singing my favorite melody!!! Quite a treat!! Thanks for uploading,

  • i've loved this movie and this song for such a long time. this is going to be my song when i get married. like jean simmons says "it just keeps running through my heart"

  • This is a great clip from a classic movie. The Frank Loesser music ranks up there with the other great composers of the American musicals. Jean Simmons was a beautiful actress and of course Marlon Brando was a classic too. This song is very romantic and will undoubtedly play in my head until I learn it. Thanks for posting........

  • This is one of my favorite songs in all musicals.

  • I know I'm in love

  • I think I'm in love.....

  • I love the music and the couple.

    Lovely scene.

  • Anyone know where if this song can be found online to download? Itunes doesn't have it.

  • iTunes has it. I just downloaded it tonight. It's under search words "Marlon Brando" and can be found on a CD titled "Movie Stars - 2 CD".

  • Oh yay lol thnks!

  • Marlon Brando was not a natural singer, but he held his own fairly well. Of course, if Sinatra sang this tune instead of Brando, it would've been a real improvement. Jean Simmons had a lovely singing voice, and was a beautiful, talented actress.

  • I'm sorry to disagree but in context Brando's voice did the job.He was a gambler not an opera singer.

Sinatra was the big minus in this musical in my opinion, he was neither a gambler nor an opera singer

  • There's no need to be sorry. You actually have a point in your comment. I loved Brando's version of this song with Simmons. My comment only referred to the fact Sinatra made his living as a singer and would've done well on a recording, although not as Nathan Detriot. Anyway, I'm glad to see Brando as Sky Masterson has another fan.

  • Brando as Sky all the way!

  • frank was never an opera singer.... and sorry, Hobokin boys gamble naturally.

  • Such a lovely song~~~!!

  • MB is more than OK here. On screen, not on stage, this is supposed to sound like speech, so Mario Lanza is not needed here. He is on pitch and his understatement is quite convincing. Maybe the singing is actually dubbed, though, like so much of the films back then.

  • The Godfather as a young man:)

  • Woman in love es una linda canción y no sé por qué es tan poco conocida. La tuve que buscar por Guys and Dolls porque por su nombre no la encontraba.

  • What a happy scene! :)

  • WOW! for marlon. nobody has replaced him.

  • Great Movie. Great Song. But what happen to The Latin Version?

  • I don't get tire from listening to this song. It's one of the most romantic ones I have ever heard. Thanks a lot.

  • oh, when he grabs her collar gently, my heart flutters *flutter flutter*

    *sigh*

  • I love this movie... and specially this song!

  • "It's about you. It's about you, right now..."

    I love that line.

  • D: I love this number but I miss "My Time of Day". It's one of the most smooth and pretty songs in the show but they wanted Sky to be more likeable and less... I don't know... mischevious I guess is the word I'm looking for.

  • That's why Marlon Brando,is considered the greatest actor of all time. There's not a role he wouldn't try!

  • marlon brando walking you home at night? she is one lucky lady!!

  • @waterfront1924 Marlon Brando kissing you... she is one lucky lady!

  • Wow! The things you don't know..... That was very nice! Didn't think Marlon or Jean ever sang in movies.

Unless they're just horrible, I always hated it when actors had to lipsync to other singers in movies.... I like sutff like this

  • has it ever occrued to anyone that the woman was also estella in great expectations, she is amazing :)

  • Hmm... for some reason, when I heard this song I imagined them singing this to eachother on their wedding day, maybe singing them as if they were their vows. *shrugs* This works, too.

  • I love this song. Back in 1970, an orchestra played A Woman in Love during our prom night. It brings me great memories, youth, friends, etc. Oh, those days!

  • I wish they still did that sort of thing at modern day proms. If I heard this song at my prom, which'll be coming up later this year... I don't know what I'd do! It makes me heart melt.

  • Besides the part where she gets completely toasted in Havana, this is my favourite part. Brando could have sang this to me all day if he wanted. He and Jean had such great chemistry in this movie. I was so glad to see this song was included on my Decca re-release of Guys and Dolls.

  • Love it!! thanks for posting

  • I have just fell in love with this song! I need to find a girl to sing this to. Even though I am no Brando. Lol. This made my day. Bummer I can't find any sheet music or accompament for it. Or can I? If you all know anything you know where I can get it, let me know, please.

  • Come on man, you don't need any sheet music. It's Brando let it rip who could resist let it fly!!

  • brando used to be so sexy

  • this song is so AMAZING!!

I though I wouldn't like it because it was added but it is so romantic! Simmons and Brando are AMAZING!!!!

  • I didn't know 'Bud' could sing!

I love Marlon Brando in this...

  • Marlon Brando, without a doubt, was one of the coolest guys who ever walked the Earth.

  • This beautiful song was not in the original Broadway production of "Guys and Dolls". I've read that Frank Loesser added it specifically to the movie in hopes that it would win an Oscar for Best Song. Unfortunately, it wasn't even nominated.

  • It takes a few hearings to get what a terrific number this is. Probably why it has been mostly lost.

  • actually a much better song than the one it replaced from the stage show "I've Never Been In Love Before" which was somewhat overblown. Frankly this song should be be whats sung in any restageings of the show.

  • Haha, i was singing this in class

    and nobody knew it.

    i was scandelized, hahahahaha.

this is such an awesome musical!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG! It's so beautiful. And well, Guys and Dolls is an amazing musical.

  • love this song !!!

  • Jean Simmons is a fantastic singer! Why do you think she isn't, what could possibly be less than perfect about her voice?

  • I love this song! Sure, the 2 verses have the same lyrics, but they're lovely lyrics!

  • would*, sorry ... LOVE THE SONG :X:X:X

  • what whould I give to have someone sing that to me :X:X:X love the movie and love this particular scene :X

  • love that song i wish i were in her shoes

  • i love thi song my best song in the world and i love brandos voice......I WISH I WAS IN HIS SHOES!!.

  • every five seconds I cower into my chair- he's making me blush so much- lol

  • oh wow, this is my FAVORITE song in the whole movie and second favorite scene. i know it's already been said, but THANK YOU for posting it!

  • Love it!!

    thanks for posting it

  • a very beautiful song, thank so much for posting, Marlon Brando looks so wonderful in this clip, i love him
