I think both the last two commenters missed the meaning of the video. The video was NOT saying that crime in (downtown) Springfield was bad. It was poofing those who say it is! It was saying crime in Springfield is EXAGGERATED --- which is exactly what the last two commenters were saying. So, not really sure if they actually watched the whole video :-\
Youre actually wrong... Springfield was listed the 13th most dangerous city in the US for 2006. Boston was around number 60. It may not have had as many murders as Boston, but its a lot smaller.
OMG!!! Springfield is not that bad!! I live in the southend of spfld(no that area is not well), wrk dwntown at a niteclub, i walk to wrk and have never had anything happen to me, dwntown is one of the safe areas of spfld.
Im from Pittsfield but I live in Springfield. I gotta say there is not another city in Massachusetts that I would rather live in besides Springfield. The people who talk about the violence and the crime are not here on a day to day basis. Unless you live here or you've been here alot SHUT THE HELL UP

Bill, Im with you. I frequent one of the night clubs on worthington street on friday/saturday nights And I see alot of people milling around...having a great time. I have seen no stabbings/ shootings. I know there is some going on...but it is not as widespread as it is made out to be.

No actually in 2005 Springfield was the 17th most dangerous city of its size, Hartford, Ct was 11th source: Morgan Quinto Yea it was in the top 20
