Salem is a character in King's album "Voodoo" (amongst many) . It's a theme based album like Abigail, Them, Cospiracy, etc.

Salem is a butler in a Louisiana house who has vowed to kill the new owners of the house through Voodoo practice. It's cool and very creepy story. Go check out the album out. One of his best!

Salem, Massachusetts is where the infamous witch trials happend in the 17th century. Ironically, the name "Salem" translates into "City of Peace."

I lived in Salem for a little over a year, and even though there are WAAAAAAYYYY Too many weirdos there who take the whole "witchy" thing, a little too far, it's still pretty cool, especially around Halloween.
