Prosecutors believe Guandique, a reputed member of the Salvadoran gang Mara Salvatrucha, attacked Levy while she was jogging and then killed her when she began to scream.
Guandique denies that he attacked Levy. There has been no physical evidence linking him to the assault, leaving prosecutors to base their case largely on Guandique's alleged jailhouse admission that he killed the young intern.
This is such trash propaganda. How in the HELL would her remains happen to be found a year later neatly packaged in the same place where this guy attacked two other women after Chandra Levy? Only an idiot would believe this
The remains were not neatly packed there, they were found scattered around a large area, probably because the body was not buried afterwards and because of animals pecking at the corpse. The remains were found about 2 miles from one of Guandique's attacks, and about .7 miles from the other. About 1.5 miles from where Guandique lived and about 2 miles from Condit's condo. About 3.4 miles from Levy's condo.
She was last known to have been in that park. Every inch of the park was combed by the best in the country. Unless this park was the size of the Grand Canyon, there is NO REASON why an unburied corpse would not have been located during such a publicized case directly related to the White House. Not finding her was an embarrassment to every law enforcement agency and politician in the area. There was also an award for her, no? Even a bum could've located at least one bone for $ in a public park.
And the top cadaver dogs in the country were used but they couldn't find ANYTHING? I've worked with search dogs and criminal investigators. This story is IMPOSSIBLE to believe. Reports say her remains were found in several places near a popular trail. Mind you, the other 2 women her alleged killer attacked were not cut, hit, raped, or killed. He wrestled w them and brandished a knife to try and steal their walkman radio. One before her, one after. But then in the middle of this, he kills Chandra
and hides her remains away from the best of the best in our country, AND doesn't take anything from her (they found her walkman)? AND her friends said she thought the park was dangerous n would never jog there. AND she confronted Condit days before disappearing. I have never seen a mistress murdered by SOMEONE ELSE OTHER THAN HER LOVER after a "confrontation/expose you" spat with her lover. Never. Plenty of White House mistresses have died mysterious deaths/suicides? Google it.
Police, mostly cadets, searched only 100 yards from roads in the 1750 acre park. Levy was found in a heavily wooded, inclined area 79 yards from a trail, and trails were not searched. It was hardly an exhaustive effort. I used to run in Rock Creek Park, it is not easy to navigate in places.
Levy was having an affair with Congressman Gary Condit, what does this have to do with the White House?

Oh, you mean I should go read an affidavit in the same case that Gary Condit tried to get his mistress #3 Anne Marie Smith to lie in her own affidavit about their affair? The same Condit who made a baby with an 18yr old (Jennifer Lynn Thomas) in the 90's? If you believe that a DC politician (esp this liar) is incapable of making someone "disappear" who could destroy their entire life/career/power. Then hey, God Bless America to you too. There isn't any good evidence that Gary Condit had anything to do with the murder. and no, having a secret affair does not automatically lead to a cause to suspect he committed the murder. If anything, I'd suspect his wife more than him, since she happened to be in Washington in the days around when Levy went missing, and has a motive. But the case against Guandique is much stronger. Also, just because other politicians have "disappeared" people before doesn't make Condit guilty either.

The reason I am so interested in this case all of a sudden is that I am required to analyze it for a class. I am primarily using a 12 chapter Washington Post series found on the internet, a book called "Murder on a horse trail" by Ralph Daugherty and official documents such as the affidavit I mentioned. The series leans towards Guandique, while the book is a collection of lots of evidence, and has a lot more "how come" type stuff about Condit.
@HungryNomadicLion oh ok well please know affidavits only contain about 5% of the facts in a case, and only about the person the gov has zeroed in on. i would also seek other non US mainstream media sources (like the UK) bc they tend to report as far as the gov lets them. really zero in on the family/friend comments. I couldn't believe that her lover (always #1) wasn't ever a suspect but 1 of her close male confidants was (who she told of her affair).
They eliminated those friends as suspects right away, I would hardly even count them. As far a Condit, the authorities definately screwed up his whole involvement, however everything points to his infidelity and embarrassment being the source of his strange actions. Family comments are emotional, they are speculation. While they may raise suspicions, they are no solid proof.

Especially if the cops were saying things that didn't agree w who they knew I was. If they were covering up the crime though, they never listen to close friends/fam. They discredit them immediately so that anyone who interviews them will also seem foolish. It's how it works in the history of gov coverups.
Have you read or heard about a book called the Franklin Coverup? You should read it. It's about a huge fed coverup including DC politicians and law enforcement at every level backed w evidence (victims/friends always discredited by cops). I think that book would clear up for anyone the fact that the gov "can" and will protect their own worst criminals for their own interest and these people did worse than Condit as far as we know today.

Amazing since he seemed like such a good friend of hers (had alot of private info) and then on the other end her lover was NEVER a suspect. It just shows protection/favortism. and I saw condit's alibi was dick cheney. I think that man (cheney) would murder his own to stay in power.

Have you read or heard about a book called the Franklin Coverup? You should read it.
