I just returned from a wonderful trip to Jeff's home island of Maui. The tour driver played this song and the album "Maui on My Mind" on the road to Hana. And it also perfectly captured the feel of Upcountry Maui as well as Iao Valley.

Lilinoe means "Godess of the Mists" in Hawaiian. In the 1970's I lived deep in Manoa Valley where I saw the mountain mists almost every day. When I hear this composition I see the misty green slopes and the occasional rain in the back of the valley, and I feel homesick.

This is what the World needs more of. Beautiful music played on a daily basis. The radio stations pump out the crap that constantly talks about lust, hate, depression, cheating, lying etc... This song is a work of art. And, I hope that everyone that hears beautiful music, will be inspired to share with others that can sure use it. Cheers!

i've seen & heard Jeff a few times & what strikes me aside from his astonishing mastery & artistry of a tricky (!) musical genre is his unusually gentle & genuinely sweet-natured aura; it's something he radi8s so that by the time his set it done, the audience r all floatin' on cloud 9 LOL!!!
