At 1:04 it shows a lighted glider for a second when she talks about corner and edge-cleaning brushes. This is misleading.... the glides DO NOT light up. However, I do have a white Swivel Sweeper that had triple LEDs in the bottom of the battery holder that point at the floor. They really do a good job of lighting up the path that you're sweeping. Not sure why they stopped this model.
Continuation: They do NOT sell the individual replacement parts so you must buy the entire base for this thing in order to get back in business! Considering the cost of the base plus shipping and handling, you would be money ahead by purchasing another sweeper and keeping the broken unit for SPARE PARTS - you'll need them for sure!
Guess what, our Swivel Sweeper died and it was not the battery! You can take the moving parts out of the base by removing the small allen-head screws out of the gear covers to expose the gears that power each brush assembly. Our sweeper died because one of the gears was locked-up due to being defective from the factory; the shaft that holds the gear welded itself to the spindle because it came from China without proper lubrication.
yeah the charger sucks on this thing when mine dies ill keep it and use the old adaptor unit and i can hack the original charger to plug into my RC car battery charger, the chargers with these things they constantly charge the battery basically frying it, there is no auto shut off/trickle charge on the swivel sweeper charger

Can I ask you how did you "rig" it with the RC car battery? What kind of battery is it? Can I purchase the battery on eBay? I'm having the same trouble with the battery - it died on me and I heard the same replacement batteries suck. Please let me know, thanks.
well they suck b/c the charger is basically just a power supply, i have a charger that will charge 7.2 volt rc batteries, but youll have to adapt the battery to connect to the rc charger use the insert that plugs into the swivel sweeper charger and you may have to modify it some

I lubed the gears myself when I got it. It was easy. My gear cover has a phillips head screw.
I've used it a lot for two months now. So far so good. Maybe I just got a good one?

I have a new Swivel Sweeper, and I monitor the battery charge with my multi meter. The charger is it's downfall.
