Melo and Lebron are both offensive machines. Melo is a better shooter and mayyybbeee has a better post game at the moment (we'll see after Lebrons adventures with Hakeem if that changes). However, Lebron is a better passer, and BY FARR a Superior defender in EVERY CATEGORY. Thus, even if we were to say offensively they were about even or even if you said melo has a slight edge (which is naive and generous), Lebrons defense is on a whole other scale - making him a better player. Easy choice.

Melo is not as athletic, but he plays on skills and fundamentals. Once hes old, he can STILL play. Just like tim duncan, mr. fundamentals. Duncan is old but he can still play and lead the youngsters. But shaq who relied on size and athleticism, could not do much work when hes old, he was being traded nonstop.

I think they are equally good. Like if you put them together they would be the perfect player. But you would get the same outcome if you took one or the other on a team. Melo guarantees 25-30 ppg and 9 rebounds 2 assists. Lebron gives 25-27 ppg 8 rebounds 7 assists. only thing melo has over lebron is a extremely efficient post game but lebron can develop that.
