Purity of Marriage

I am a muslim woman who married an Ex Mormon. He did convert for me because my religion mattered to me.Also because he didnt follow any religion. I also want my children to be raised in Islam. My husband & I have also known each other since we were 13 so..we have had MANY years to talk about this and he knows more than people credit him for.

I love the way it ends "let the conversation begin"! Does marriage have to be between a man and a woman? Can't it be between two people who love each other whatever their gender? I like the questions about the challenges posed by interfaith marriage, and I like the idea of building understanding.

Valelacerte , do you think marriage between a hindu and a buddhsit would cause much conflict? like if i'm hindu, and my boyfriend is buddhist, would that cause too many disrecpencies?

@shefali13 I doubt it. If you both respect eachother enough and are willing to put your love before your religion some times. I honestly wish you luck.

Also I want to point out it is probably harder for a christian to be involved with interfaith since they believe thier spouse will ultimatley go to hell.

A Christian believes that Jesus was the son of God and died on the cross for our sins.

A Muslim believes that Jesus was not the son of God but a Prophet and an imposter died on the cross.

Jews believe that Jesus was not the son of God but a rabbi who disagreed with the Torah and died on the cross.

Sounds like a marital argument waiting to happen :)
