Nancy was killed by some drug dealer who stole their money (That they got from Sid's cover of "My Way" and "Something Else" and "C'mon Everybody", and people said that the money was no where to be found. And Sid was knocked out and woke up the next day dazed and confused. (Just my Theory on the story).

@DragonHunterJ You realize it's just a movie? A lot of people thought Sid did kill her and he was charged with murder, that's probably why they made it look like he did it in the movie. They had to come up with something for the movie as when the movie was made they didn't know for sure who had killed her and really you don't either because I'm pretty sure you weren't there at the murder scene.

I haven't seen the whole film, but just on this scene alone they really stretched out the facts. I think people need to remember its an artistic interpretation not based wholly on fact. For example; there is alot of speculation as to who actually stabbed Nancy, as Sid, by all accounts of those who were in the room earlier that night, was in a complete drug coma. Johnny Rotten was so upsett when the film came out he told the director he should be shot.

anyone read "And I dont wanna live this life" by Deborah Spungen? It's a memoir written by Nancy's mom and it takes u through nancy's whole life and really explains a lot from her pint of view. No lies, no media bullshit. It's really good, i highly reccomend it.

I have no remorse/sympathy for degenerate junkies like Sid and Nancy. There were a couple of them in my old town that often caused trouble while hooked on that shit. They even tried to break into my family's home once. Luckily, they ended up owing drug money to a gang and they got beaten to a bloody pulp. They died after that. Serves them right.

Watch the documentary "Who Killed Nancy?". It interviews a lot of people that were there the night Nancy died and Sid had taken so many pills that he was practically in a coma. Also, Nancy was seen with thousands of dollars in the hotel room that night, and when Sid woke up to find Nancy dead, all the money was gone.

I realize that not a lot of people like the way the woman portrayed Nancy, but I think she did exceedingly well.

Hmm, I guess I'm not seeing this the way some others are. I don't think the film is saying that Sid did kill her. It looks accidental. He's got the knife just to make her shut up (not intending to kill her), and she---unknowingly I feel---lunges at him. The real photos of her death are, of course, all over the internet, and it is heartbreaking no matter what happened to see her lifeless and very bloody body lying in the bathroom. I also love Oldman and Webb and think they did a great job!

Interesting bits of trivia: Nancy's girlfriend Gretchen (the one screaming "he didn't do it" in the beginning of the movie") was played by Courtney Love (in her first movie role), and Bowery the dealer was played by Xander Berkley, who was on "Buffy" and the first two seasons of "24."
