  • The ref threw up his hands several seconds after you fell into the enzone because he was not sure you scored, which it appears you may not have.

It was not clear if you broke the plane, however a little hop of about 2 inches after you were down sealed the deal.

This all on top of it being 5th down.

Why show us your highlight of a game Misouri

    actually won.

It appears Colorado my have even lost the game twice.

Hey Buff's watch out for that Duck onside kick, Quack.

  • That incident is so damn funny, i can't get over how that happend lol. The best part is Missouri fans on here still bitching and moaning lol it was 20 years ago and the win wouldn't of meant anything because the team sucked anyway lol.

  • I was at this game 20 years ago and I can tell you refs where paid off !! what all the refs on the field could not count !!! ??? And All the MU fans was yelling fifth down that was before the ball was snapped !! I do remember that on the fifth down that it did not make it then either !! The better replays show it and that is why the fans though we won!!! BS but that is how is always goes for Missouri !!!

  • If only they played for a championship like basketball. Have fun electing your paper champions. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!! We win titles on the court playing for them. No voters.

  • FUCK Nebraska! First, Colorado would not have wated a play had they known the true down situation. And last but not least, that old fart from nebraska, Tommy osbourne was the ONLY vote to give GT a split. FUCK THE HUSKERS...and BTW, CJ DID score....Get over it!

  • @beckyhammonbest

Get over it yourself, wench. MU won the game fair and square. Colorado and McCartney didn't have the GUTS to do the ethical thing. They cheated and ran away, like the cowards that they are. Tuck your tail and crawl out to the PAC 10; your athletic teams are stinking up the Big 12.

  • @beckyhammonbest cause he was nebraska was the only team to play tech that year and tom osbourn knew that tech was better

  • That's my 5. Elusive 11. Till da day I die. Only you could have fooled a national TV audience, a stadium full of people, and the whole referee crew on the field.

  • at least he owns up to it

  • Stupid liar....CJ when your ass hit the ground the ball was on the 1 yard line and you rolled into the end zone. You didn't make it in on 5th down either. I guess your coach scored later that night with a cheerleader or two...

  • Poor Mizzou fans this and Huskers "Catch"

  • Ga. Tech had to share the National Championship with the CU hacks because of refs asleep at the switch.

  • Also don't forget that clipping call that wiped out the Rocket's punt return. Also, if Colorado didn't block that extra point it would been 10 to 10 a tie and the National Championship would have gone to GA Tech that deserved it. Remember Colorado had one loss and tie. Ga Tech had ZERO loses and one tie.

  • Colorado fail...

  • As a Mizzou fan I am now glad that we lost that game that way. No one would hardly ever remember it otherwise. I was there, sitting at that end of the field for one of the most famous college plays of all time.

  • he got in. and tell me why McCartney failed? He did everything right. he asked the officials if they were sure it was second down. they said yes. then he called a set of plays designed for that situation. if it was third he would have ran a different set of plays

  • You didn't even get in on 5th down, Johnson!

  • Bill "Promise Keeper" McCartney was given a test of character and he failed.

  • Missouri deserved to lose that game with the field they had.
