It just goes to show all the hard work our men and women do over there..and all the sacrifices they make for us. You're pretty brave if you're knowingly and willingly going into the military life. i agree, i have great respect for firefighters. But I dont see you going into a hostel country thousands of miles away from home to let the scum of the earth shoot at you. You get to go home almost every night to a warm bed, warm food, loveing family. Service members go months without seeing there familys. And damn near all of us dont do what we do for the glory. We do it because it needs doing. Again i have great respect for your profession, my father happens to a fire fighter.
iI've got one son just back from Iraq, another son getting ready to deploy. When I came home from SE Asia in the early seventies we were told not to wear our uniform in the civilian airports - too many protesters.

Alot of my cousins are in the military. Right now only one is over seas and it happens to be the one I'm closest to. When he told me he was going I cried because I was worried. Everytime he gets a chance he calls me and tells me he's ok. After I hang up I cry because I am releived. I thank all of the troops and pray for the families who have lost someone they loved.

I am a retired military child and for my community service project i will devote my 130 hours to helping military children get thru deployment. I hope that they are as lucky as me and there dads(or whoever) come home safe and sound like my dad did<3

My husband is deployed right now. We have a baby boy who's ready to see his daddy again. I miss him and every night before I go to bed I listen to this song and say a prayer for him and all the other guys out there.

And it will probably be fairly soon after you join. So be careful and stay safe and when you're over there and scared, just remember there are tons of wives like me praying for all of you guys.

@NeenerXSlipknot I almost lost my husband to an IED today. This is the second time during this deployment that he could have not come home alive. It just goes to show all the hard work our men and women do over there..and all the sacrifices they make for us. You're pretty brave if you're knowingly and willingly going into the military life. i agree, i have great respect for firefighters. But I dont see you going into a hostel country thousands of miles away from home to let the scum of the earth shoot at you. You get to go home almost every night to a warm bed, warm food, loveing family. Service members go months without seeing there familys. And damn near all of us dont do what we do for the glory. We do it because it needs doing. Again i have great respect for your profession, my father happens to a fire fighter.

@gregoryarmy123 I am an ex-volunteer fire fighter, I used to get 1 ham and 1 turkey every year for payment, and I loved it, I was thanked by everyone, even those who I never helped, I guess it is your community that is in need of help, I always thank the cops and firefighters for their jobs, job well done! oh and thank you for your sacrifice to help out in your community, stay safe! p.s. I am also ex- military, ex-cop, ex-search and rescue, ex- firefighter, and now I am losing all do to health.

Alot of my cousins are in the military. Right now only one is over seas and it happens to be the one I'm closest to. When he told me he was going I cried because I was worried. Everytime he gets a chance he calls me and tells me he's ok. After I hang up I cry because I am releived. I thank all of the troops and pray for the families who have lost someone they loved.
