I'm always a fan of D-Am7 (in whatever key). It just has a mature sound that you capture wonderfully. Your voice is particularly strong in this one, your unique style is fully on display. I'd love to hear this one go on for another minute or two and build within a fade out.

At any rate, I suppose it is not a bad way to begin. As for her great voice, nothing tops good voice training. Few people have naturally great voices but must be trained.

Hey Apple. It was in the .mov (Quicktime) format. I recorded in iMovie and used the upload to YouTube function there, so I didn't do anything to separate the movie into two different formats. Maybe there are more tips in the help section here?

Got a Neil Young sort of sound to it. Not a bad song at all; much better than the average YouTube original song. Might need a little polish.

BTW, a home or apartment makes for a poor studio because the walls are flat, hard, and parallel. The fix is to hang some soft stuff on two adjacent walls: drapes, quilts, comforters, etc. This will take out the harsch echoes that make the high notes sound so shrill.
