  • Hahah I love how honda make excuses like ,

Oh i lost cuss my car didn't have vtec

Or the engine is not good beach if u want. Fast car get a Lexus or something like that hondas are for white trash and losers or teenegers or people who can't afford a Lexus

  • nah idk man, listening to the shifts, I think the EG was D16...

  • Its all driver, people who don't know how launch and just grandma shift get high times ..

  • Will u got him far so I think, u 14.4, ex 16.9 lol

  • what were the times for both cars lol? i Own an IS so i know they are slower than snails n/a, so if that civic lost by about a car and half DAM that thing is running what 16s? lol

  • idk what is300 yall done raced but i stomp on them GSR swaps for fun real talk. the only one ive lost to was one the was supercharged. and i ran a 14.8 in the 1/4 mile.

  • I have the K&N FIPK and fidanza flywheel...I'm about to get cam gear and exhaust....with all those mods u have, wuts ur 0-60 been?

  • @NickyTballer Sorry for not getting back earlier...Depends on what road I'm on and how good of a launch I get...With the intake, exhaust and cam gear it was 6.0-6.2. In my other vids with an intake, header, exhaust and cam gear on on the street was around 5.7 and at the track with a good launch was 5.4-5.5 seconds.

  • nice run. i versed many n/a-gsr swapped civics to tegs and delsols. none of them stood a chance to my 02 5-spd AR IS.

  • is 300's are slow

  • @myuzz A n/a I6 4 door sedan running low 14's (I/H/E) with a motor that has pretty much been unchanged since the early 90s is not what I would consider "slow". Besides, it was fast enough to whip a 340hp/390tq Chrysler 300C at the drag strip ;)

  • @miubhi856 low 14's, be realistic...maybe 14.5 with a very good driver

  • @myuzz How am I not being realistic? I ran a 14.5 in this and a 14.2 in another against a 300c, with a bad launch. Can I drive? Obviously but the car plays into affect as well.

  • @miubhi856 300C is a slow car lol that's why you beat him. Last Charger R/T I saw at the drags ran 15.0 @ 95 mph.

  • @gtdrummerdude Ummmm, a 2005 Chrysler 300C runs 0-60 in 5.5 and the 1/4 mile in 13.9 and since the charger is the same car/different shell it runs the same...Look it up. My point wasn't how fast the 300C is but the fact the other guy didn't know what he was talking about when he said my car would only run 14.5 at best...

  • @miubhi856 No, a 5.7 LX car will never ever run 13.9 stock. I saw one do 14.0 @ 100 mph with a Diablosport tuner and mopar CAI, but the tuners help those cars ALOT. Idk where you live but here in Phx an older IS300 like yours won't run better than like 14.8 or 14.9 with your mods. You must live somewhere nice. I think his point was just that IS300s are slow. The new ones are ok at best, older ones are weak.

  • @gtdrummerdude Really? LOL seriously quit talking unless you KNOW what it runs. LOOK IT UP, there have been MANY magazienes with them in it! It's not hard. Motortrend 14.1 sec @ 102.0 mph, Car & Driver 14.2 sec @ 101 mph, Modernracer 13.9 sec @ 102.0 mph How many else would you like to see??? As for the IS300, a 15.0 1/4 mile for 01 was very respectable and the IS350 runs the 1/4 as low as 13.4 stock...So if that's only "OK" then y'all must have some hella fast cars. Oh, and I live in Texas...

  • How do magazines make money? From your $10 per year subscription? Or from the manufacturers of parts they advertise and praise in the magazine? The 2005 Mustang GT ran 13.5 @ 105 mph according to Car and Driver and others. I see them go 14.5 @ 98 mph over and over again. But I guess real world results don't count right? Only magazine tests. The newer IS300s trap 99 mph at best from what i've seen in person. I trapped 104 mph in Phoenix and my car aint fast at all.

  • @gtdrummerdude 99 at best? Look up "IS 350 vs Hot rod" "Lexus IS 350 vs Chevrolet Corvette" "IS 350 vs Chrysler 300 SRT-8" three different cars ran between 13.3-13.6 at 102-104 and that was just on the first page. So your basically saying that magazines lie huh...My IS300 was claimed to run a 15.0-15.2 and yet I ran a 14.8 stock. Just cause a lot of ppl drive doesn't mean everyone does and those numbers from the magazines are easily repeatable if you learn the car.

  • @miubhi856 Sometimes the magazines are accurate and sometimes they make the car look better than it is. A stock IS300 will never ever trap 101 here in AZ, and the climate is pretty good in the winter. I've been racing for about 6 years and I am out at the drags several times a month, I have seen thousands upon thousands of cars run, I know the performance of different cars better than you and better than a magazine.

  • @gtdrummerdude : I agree with you in a way as i did 15.3 on my 2002 Lexus IS300 (((with a bad clutch))) so now i should be doing 14.8...The car is supposed to be running according to specs any where from 15.1 to 15.3 stock with a good clutch and yet i ran 15.3 on a burnt clutch.

  • @almrlon If the clutch was good enough to get you to 15.3 then 15.3 is what the car runs. You aren't going to drop half a second with a new clutch, trust me.

  • ive got an 04 SD is300 with a MT, 2jzge love. Kyle can suck a fatty, civics are tasteless

  • wow hole lot of hating up in here, i'll just mind my own bussiness.... eeyysshh..

  • like you said that civic was deffinitely a ricer 1 cuz the car just looked like garbage and 2 excuses excuses lol, nice is300

  • hahahahah the description makes this race awesome.. "wasn't hitting vtec" lolololol

  • 2.6 seconds you stated 14.4 was about your best to date, and from the 5 car lead at the end of the track.looks about right.i NEVER at any time said your car was slow.

and this conversation is over,i dont have time to argue about stupid crap.

  • yup they run about a 17. which looks damn close to the gap you have.and you might want to watch your mouth

  • @kylecuppett So let me get this straight...You "think" it's a D series cause I beat him that bad...And if they run 17s and I only beat him by 3/4 of a sec...So let me guess my car only runs a low 16 sec 1/4??? OMFG You are reaching, lmao! The slowest my car has EVER gone was 16.1 @ 52 mph cause I missed 3rd and coasted the rest.

As far as watching my mouth, I suggest you look at whos vid you are commenting on with your bullshit. Look at my other vids and get a clue...My car isn't slow.

  • its a d series trust me

  • @kylecuppett Really??? Wow, then I guess I really don't know shit about cars...Cause the last time I checked a B18c1 is a GSR motor.

Besides, when have you EVER seen a D series running 15.1-15.2 (without a turbo, sc or n20 much less without an exhaust)???

Seriously dude, quit making excusses...I've seen the motor and as everyone has seen here in the vid, I whipped his ass. No ands ifs or buts about it.

  • haha I hate when people lie and make excuses about an exhaust leak/ fuel problem whenever they lose

  • I say both cars were running good; maybe the civic was not running the best.

But even if the motor was running at 100%, I would say the is300 would of still win.

I own a GSR, so I am not ripping on honda.

  • Here is what a stock GSR DC2 runs in the quarter:

    "1/4 Mile ET: 14.968

    1/4 Mile MPH: 93.490"

  • He did run a 15.2 that run so I would say that's pretty close...3/10ths can be lost any number of ways. He still swears it's a D16Y7 but in my Del Sol (D15) with CAI, port matched SI manifold (D16 v-tec), no cat, exhaust, light weight fly wheel, etc & in a 2240lb car I could only get a 16.1 which is pretty damn good.

My IS is very strong, most don't come close to running low 14s with an I/H/E/cam gear. With a good tune I should be in the 13s as I'm running a 14.2 now since I got my header.

  • Yes if you're in Michigan where it's 20 degrees outside and the altitude is 0. Go to my videos to watch an RSX-S running 16.0 @ 90 mph consistently. My car did 14.7 the same night on my best run and I have actually raced an authentic DC2 Type R on the street before. Killed him from a stop and killed him from an 80 mph roll to 120 on the highway. I'd be surprised if he ran faster than 16.0 as well.

  • Density altitude at this track around the time of this race was about 10 feet. Density altitude at the track I race at at the time my runs (and all the runs of the RSX and other cars) were made was 5026 feet. So yes at a track like this, a GSR might do a 15.0. With 5026 ft density altitude, more like 16.0

  • i have taken a is350 w/ my stock gsr in a eg w/ a b16 tranny n intake. the ex was lame. probably had a bad motor.

  • OK, for one...A stock IS350 can run a 13.3. I know for a fact that a 141whp (stock GSR motor) civic can't even get into the 13s without a few bolt ons. So...There are only a few reasons why you might have beat him...1, it was an IS250 (which runs 15.9-16.1 stock and are piss ass slow...) or he didn't wanna waste his gas on ya so he let you win...Guess which one we think ;)

  • Didn't want to waste his time or gas bro...lol...fucking honda lovers man

  • Tell ya what, I'm gonna be heading back to the track pretty soon (hopefully this coming up Fri) so we'll both post some vids and then compare. Sound good? Unless your gonna be in the Houston area anytime soon...But if you are, you had better hurry up cause I give myself 6-7 months, maybe even 8 before she's at a very mild 8psi, lol.

Trust me, your gonna need more then a few other mods to get catch up to what I was, much less what I am at now ;)

  • Well last time I checked, a B18c1 constitutes as a GSR, so yes, I am, lol.

As for racing you, I'd be more then happy to, If your in the Houston area just name a date ;)

Last time I checked, your car (stock, in manual form) runs the 1/4 in 15.7@91 Your dyno was 174WHP, 134 TQ, lets put it this way, I have 40 more TQ at 2k RPM then you do at your peek, NTM my WHP is 15 more then your crank hp. So unless your blown, spraying or have a Jato rocket, you'd have your ass handed to ya. Sorry, lol.

  • thats a nice civic but LEXUS RULES!!!!

  • Oh BTW. I know there is no way to know for sure by watching the video, but if the civic does in fact have a GSR swap, something wasn't right with it (maybe the driver). That style civic with a GSR engine should be running real close to what you did.

  • Props for taking your race to the track.

Nice run too. 14.4 with a trap of 96 is pretty solid. What's you wheel/tire set up?

  • At the track I run OEM since traction isn't an issue...17x7 with 215/45/17 all around. On the street I have stagered 18x8 (225/40/18) up front and 18x8.5 (255/40/18) in back. The 18s are a little heavier and are 1.6" taller then my OEM so it's like adding a higher gear and kills the performance

  • Stock 215s and no issues with traction? Damn, I spun off the line a bit and into second, given I was on all seasons. The IS just doesn't hook. 2.1 was my best

  • Don't get me wrong, I could smoke them all day long if I don't get the RPMs right (like I did above) but considering earlier that day I spun the tires (LSD) a good 40' when I hit 2nd. I'm don't think traction's an issue seeing how I only chirped them at the track.

A 2.11 is my best as well so far...I just installed my Mazzuri header/mid-pipe the other day so we'll see how much better that does me when I go here in a few weeks. I'm looking for a 14.2(ish) at around 98mph. What are you running?

  • damn u walked that civic props

  • nice kill!
