So true benzaie, you said it all. I'm a Die Hard Arcade addict too, I already tried to beat the game several times with the 5 default credits, but I lose it in the spinning satellite dish area.

Back in the old days, I met this game in a friends house, and it was the demo version, that ended right when we reach the parking lot. We don't know why, but it was so addictive that we restarted the game right after it said "to be continued".

DIE HARD, THE RETARDATION was our way of calling it awesome.

PS: I also find that theme a bit strange, and I think the "falling down stairs" felling comes from the way that the piano is played in that music. Personaly, everytime I hear it, it reminds me of someone going down the stairs in a silly walk like a very old movie sequence.

@KingDavid73 did you do like how i did and play the deepscan minigame and max out on lives and go co-op. i hardly died and at the end u have to fight each other to spend ur extra lives. supposed to be fun but i had more than 80 feft. lol

yea' i know this game has nothing to do with the movie, and seeing how crap movie games turn out maybe that's a great thing, cause this game turned out awesome, but i am sorry this is not the best beat em up ever, that title belongs to the arcade dnd games... but this runs a close second...

What's very good about the PS2 remake is that they changed Deep Scan to Periscope (Sega's first arcade machine), which is way easier, and, if you are awesome, you can get 99 credits in about 5 or 6 minutes

BTW, it would be awesome if Sony made a Saturn emulator for PSP like they did with the PS1, so I can take Die Hard Arcade (and other games, Daytona USA specifically) ANYWHERE

Hell, this game is awesome. BTW, several years before, I actually LOVED Fighting Force. Now, that I played DH Arcade (I actually played the Sega Ages 2500 remake for the PS2... which also includes THE ORIGINAL SATURN VERSION!), Fighting Force is terrible.

J'avais fait ce jeu à l'époque et avec mes frères ont joué à deep scan pendant des heures pour avoir 99 crédits.

Ce qui était complètement débile puisqu'à la fin si on joue à deux on doit se battre l'un contre l'autre pour qu'il n'y ai qu'un seul vainqueur. Et bien sûr comme des imbéciles, aucun des deux joueurs ne voulait abandonner et on se retrouvait à se faire des duels jusqu'à ce que les 80 crédits restants soient épuisés.

Que de bons souvenirs.

I loved that game so much. Die Hard Arcade is one of my favourite beat'em ups (I only play Beat'em Up games). Oh, and Dynamite Cop for Dreamcast. I loved that too.

Living in Japan for almost 2 years you find a lot of strange games. Dynamite Super Force has a sequel in which you pick from one of 3 characters, but every character has a second mode to them where you can collect a power up and then become another character. There is about 9 characters total you can play each with their own unique abilities. MOTHER FUCKERS I KNOW!

To answer you question, the sequel was released on arcade and Dreamcast as "Dynamite Cop". There's also a third instalment known as "Dynamite Deka EX" (Asian Dynamite in Europe out last year in arcade only).

I own the 1st on ST-V & the 2nd on Dreamcast. I played the 3rd one only once. The funny thing is that you can grab clothes that changes your moves. But otherwise, it looks like a remake of the first episode (same plot).

Awesome review, much better than the Hunther i think, you talked a lot more on aspects of the game, moves, items, scenes and stuff. Oh, and the Toilet paper can be deadly, believe me xD
