@13thmistral Hey I have fired a barrett with a bors sysem on the gun it is very reliable...I put 200 rounds down range with the bors on the gun and for fun we took off the scope and put it on a 22 rifle told the system what type of gun we was shooting and it dailed right in (loved it) As far as it being in the millitary I don't know I can find out tho

@13thmistral yea you can.. it has a pre ballistic chats built into the bors system...u can hook it up to your on computer and setup your own calibration if you do your own reloads. the system also calibrates outside temp if it hot or cold outside it will make the changes for you..check this video ((BORS - Sighting In)) chris in this video is a friend of mine

Fired this at SHOT Media day with the PCP plastic cased Ammo. Was one of the last guys on the gun. Had 2 rounds .338L. Missed 1st, adjusted 1 dot. 2nd round hit steel, at 1,000 yards. Chris B witnessed. This is a fine rifle and PCP is amazing ammo. The combination made me better than I usually am. A real operator, as opposed to me, should be able to do his job even better with this.

AHA! FINALLY! I remember earlier a year or so ago, there was talk of all of these weapon manufacturers trying to submit a rifle to the US military, because they wanted a precision anti-personnel rifle. The m98b was Barretts candidate, but it lacked some of the features that the military wanted, such as a folding stock. It's nice to see they made improvements to the M98b's design and made it perfect for submission for the military.

Many features stolen from the Remington MSR. As long as the OAL of the cartridge can be 4 inches in .338 Lapua for a heavy 300 gr. payload, like what is offered in the Remington MSR, this should be a great rifle.

@DeoVindice1861 Hmmm, Barrett usually names it's rifles after the year they were designed in, ie the 82 was designed in 1982. The 98 was designed in 1998, and it seems that this MRAD was based on the 98, with the requirements of PSR program, since it was their PSR submission. You should do a little more research before you accuse someone of stealing something. I never saw the MSR back in 98...

I was at the '98 Shot show, and always make a point to visit the Barrett booth. I didn't see the MRAD there. Nothing like the MRAD. Not arguing, just making a point. According to your wisdom, I guess the M107 was introduced in 19107??? Perhaps, I did not forward my thoughts very well, as I should not have used the word "stolen". Oh well. Best Wishes.

In your 13+ years of visiting the Barrett booth I'm sure that is exactly what they have been telling you. Ever think that the 107 designator might have come from the Army's XM107 program? Not wisdom, but common knowledge. It probably makes since that you didn't see an MRAD at the 98 shot show, since it was based off of the 98B. What point are you trying to make?
