that's a sweet sounding engine. i've got a 402 out of a 71 chevy truck in my 84 chevy 3/4 ton. its pretty strong. and its a very smooth engine, but nothing like what you've got there. nice job. i live in cruces myself.

Junkyard engine? That's cool. I wonder how much money it would take to build a early eighties 4x4 S10 regular cab from a mix of new and used parts. I wish I could build my own S10 like that over a period of years until complete from the frame up. No fancy fast engine just stock stuff. In fact it would be cool to somehow connect the 2.5 iron duke 4 cyl to the trans/transfer case for MPG. Hell spray paint it as fancy as possible ha ha that would be a fun project.
