I prefer the raw energy of Rammstein's older performances. The new ones may sound better but they don't have that 'edge'. Also, Till doesn't sing the song 'Rammstein' anywhere near as good today as he does in this vid.

I actually have to disagree with you there,I actually like the rumbeling that he does today with his voice, it just swounds more powerful and intense,what do you mean by edge? back then he lit himself on fire, now he shoots out two 20ft flame throwers. The old Rammstein was good but the new Rammstein is superior.

I think GoldenRatio is probably trying to describe Rammstein's grittier sound back then. It wasn't polished, but that's what made it even more powerful.
