the rumor was created when a kid died(of epileptic because to many lights went into his mind while he was tired and he was too close to screen) while being obsessed with sonic racing and starred into his computer screen playing it the whole night because he wanted to unlock the Tails Doll character. then in the morning they found him unconcious and he died a day later.

I actually liked playing this game, even though I hated the controls. The cheesy 90's soundtrack, the alternate routes and secrets, the unlockables, the level themes... These were definitely things I liked about this game.

Too bad I lent my PC version to someone and never got it back. ;_;

This has always loved this game since it came out. I've pretty much mastered this game. The control isn't bad if you know what your doing. I play it whenever I get the chance, and I've beat it at least 25 times. :D

Excluding Super Sonic, Metal Sonic is the fastest character in the game, with Sonic in second. Eggman is only slightly faster than Amy, but he does have good cornering.

I have both the original Saturn and Gamecube versions of this game. It is not a good game by any stretch. The controls take a LOT of getting used to, which automatically makes it a bad racing game. I wish Travellers Tales had spent less time on the good graphics and great soundtrack and more time on making a racing game that actually handled well.
