I believe Darrion Caldwell actually beat Metcalf twice and he beat Caldwell once. Sometimes a loss is good for a wrestler though. Dan Gable's loss to Larry Owings and Cael Sandersons loss to Lee Fulhart probably drove them to get to the level they needed to be at for the olympics.

No one wants or wanted to wrestle Brent in Middle School and High School. If you did you were fucked basically! You had to just suck it up and go hard because you knew he was going to take the match to you. One word Tough! That is what Davison Wrestling has been about for the last 10 years. Once the 02' 03' 04' and 05' classes reached High school, it was on. Tough kids in tough weight classes, the Metcalf's, Adam Wolmoth, Paul Donahoe, both Reeder brothers, and many others. It was about winning.

how often do your wrestlers win by bonus points probably not very often if youre up by 5 you should be up by 8 up by 10 it should be 15 if you win by tech it should be a pin thats the mentality your boys should have thats what is beat into every iowa high school wrestler and thats why iowa has won 3 straight national titles

@redrox15 Metcalf only won a national title this year because darrion caldwell had to redshirt due to surgery and because he moved to 157, otherwise its metcalf in second place to caldwell again!!!!!

@redrox15 Yeah meathead did tech caldwell but caldwell spladled meathead which is the most embaressing move to make on someone especially in college where it is nearly impossible to do on a prime wrestler. Looks like caldwell has no respect for meathead because he spladle him in one match and then he freakin headthrows his as- in the national championship match. Those are two moves that i and many wrestler only could do in hgh school and very few in college. Go figure.

weii he dropped some points early and often on GOD so how you call caldwell a staller is beyond me. I tell my own kids if you are up by 5 or more in the third defend and counter as it is the other guys job to attack. Blame metcalf for dying in the second period

how often do your wrestlers win by bonus points probably not very often if youre up by 5 you should be up by 8 up by 10 it should be 15 if you win by tech it should be a pin thats the mentality your boys should have thats what is beat into every iowa high school wrestler and thats why iowa has won 3 straight national titles

i hate palmer but he knew what he had to do and i think brands knows what metcalf needs to do i personally think he quit moving both times he was in deep on palmer if you watch his semi finals match against palmer last year everytime he was in on a shot he was in constant motion until he got the takedown this time he hesitated and thats what happend
