Basically everything is a hypnosis to one degree or another. I have taught way too many seminars and use these processes in over 20 years of sales..and with coaching clients.

I don't expect others to get it.

One key is the receptivity of those you are sending the commands to.

This poor man was wide open....and i am not saying there wasn't other things happening. It is not an either or situation.

I can promise you that this is classic hypnosis whether Glen meant it or not.

Was this a stunt by Glen with a willing participant or do you think this just happened? I have not doubt that anyone who "performs" hypnosis is very well aware most of the times as to what they are doing. Watching this I have to wonder though if it could be by accident. Maybe Beck is a natural and a by product of his ability has been success. This may be a case of an over sensitive guest.

I totally agree that hypnosis works. In fact I am 100% sure that even people under hypnotic control can then in turn influence others hypnotically. I don't know if there is a term for that phenomenon. I'd call those who are under hypnotic influence who then influence other in a hypnotic manner "Hypnotic Repeaters". In my own opinion most of the mass media falls under this knowingly or unknowingly.

I have shut down like this before, I am a musician and have played live many times. The style of music is very fast, heavy guitar driven music and we also used strobe lights live as well. One time I passed out on stage. Everything went black, no audible, nothing. I was rushed to the hospital and found out that what I had was called a "focal seizure" caused by the strobes. I guess if your brain catches the strobes in a certain way, it can shut you down pretty hard and that's what happened to me.

Yes something is happening...cant tell what 100% but you can add up some of what we see at an unconscious level.

The poor guy shut down pretty hard.

Most important element is that all of you are now looking with different eyes.

We as a nation should reconsider what goes into our head in exchange for the "Information" the give us for "Free"

Very interesting. Not doubting here but just being objective. The hypnosis conclusion can be drawn as an imposed after thought with the intention of putting that spin on it and the fainting could be unrelated. Again, not saying that's the case. Yet, so many sequential visual and verbal cues are happening, that it would make sense something is going on be it subconcious or wiith intent.

Another thing that hints towards hypnosis and not something unrelated is the fact that for the first several minutes, he seemed to be clear headed, speaking articulately, seemed to have it together and didn't indicate that he was not feeling well or anything to that effect, up until he actually started to pass out. So it does seem like a hypnotic sequence of events was the trigger..

It's ironic you post this video. A friend and I were just talking a couple of days ago about this exact segment, the embedded commands...classic hypnosis. Now you come to the same conclusion, I suppose it's obvious to those in the know. Not just Beck but most of the media and President Obama are very good at these techniques.
