I just saw a video about American Children(on youtube)who are going hungry or are eating rats. So,anyone who is hating might want to think about, instead, contributing to raising awareness on How To Farm.It appears to be a lack of knowledge about say...sprouts,eating live as opposed to dead food.I was saddened beyond belief to see children going hungry.I don`t want ANYONE going hungry.
I just love how people can think that their still being green when they have everything shipped to them even used plastic bottles. Honestly I would rather make this at home and forget about running a pump 24/7 and water it by hand once a day.
First and foremost, I have to ask myself what is most important to me, indoor home gardening or recycling plastic bottles. When I find, which I did, that the gardening was top priority, then I focused on the most practical and efficient means to reach that goal. I'm still searching, in fact I've only been searching for 2hrs sense I found you guys on yahoo. I'm brain storming this and analyzing the data. Off the top of my head, functionality is a big factor. Simplicity is better.
@TLM80209 I have nothing to do with the project but.... on the windowfarms (dot) org homepage, there is a link to "click here to order now on Kickstarter (dot) com" >> this allows you "pledge" different amounts which in turn will get you various "rewards" (different sizes of kit) depending on the size of your donation. Shipping March 2012 apparently.
idk guys im really skeptic about growing edible plants on bottle hanging from windows. I grow plants in plastic and glass bottles like a mini green house on windows but this is weird because you get to eat it too. But im willing to give it a try. I have an indoor mango, orange, lemon and grape fruit tree about 3ft tall that i grew from out of a small bottle green house an other house plants. I quite happy with it because its fun and lucrative and the smell is awesome.
Thank you ! you have a great channel! i plan on building my own window farm later on this summer. i just received your plans to my email account and it looks really easy to build!

An absolute piece of crap. All you need is a wooden rack with shelves or canes for creepers. Seriously this is so over hyped.

Where's the fish supplied pant fertilizer coming from fish tanks as in augaponics? The fish being feed clean maggots grown for free on food wastes.
