I totally miss this parade and was sad to hear that Disneyland shipped it out to Disney World!!! Bring it back!!!! I remember when I saw it for the first time with my parents!!! I was totally in awe of the the whole thing!! Disneyland bring the Electrical Parade back to Disneyland!!

I'm glad you included the whole thing. Ever since I saw my first Electrical Parade, the introduction to the parade always gives me goosebumps! The nearest Disneyland to me (Disneyland Paris) was also one of the last to run the old parade, but currently they aren't running it. I hope they bring it back. Great work!

When we watched this in orlando at Disney world the dragon at 21:11s lights went out for a few seconds right in front of us then as soon as it got past us they turned back on weird huh

God, I remember seeing this when I was a toddler back in the really early 90's. It was freezing out side, I was bundled in a Minnie jacket, and I was half asleep against my Dad's bony shoulder. I was so mesmerized by all those beautiful lights

I remember being at the last day of the main street electrical parade - the poster they were handing out is framed in my room June 11, 1977 ~ September 14, 1991. Casey's intro is the same but instead of 'Disney's' it then said 'Main Street' Electrical Parade. If I remember it was headed to Tokyo for the opening then spent time in DL.

@MarioSonic2010 The floats in the current parade are actually the original Disneyland/Disney California Adventure floats, not WDW's, which are rumored to be in storage in Hong Kong. The floats are essentially being lent out to WDW by Disneyland due to the huge amount of construction going on in California Adventure through 2012. I've heard Disneyland didn't want WDW making any physical modifications to the floats, which is why the drumhead still shows the name of the DCA version of the parade.

@pvtread Last I checked WDW said it was staying indefintly and SpectroMagic was being repaired to be sent to other Disney Parks, that was OFFICIAL conformation from Disney Parks, unless otherwise stated from them directly I wouldnt believe it

AND...they intro is WAY too long...the parade always moved into the music as they entered the next section of the street. As usual..if it isn't broke...DON'T FIX IT DISNEY!!! Tragic.

Thank you so much for posting this. This parade means so much to me, and you did such an amazing job filming it! My dad recently passed away, and we talked so much about my Disney trip (I left 10 days after he died for Orlando) - he was afraid that the new Electrical parade wouldn't live up to Spectral Magic (which was my absolute favourite), so he watched it on youtube - probably your video! - and told me I would love it. And I did. It was magical. And now I can watch it over and over. Thanks!

@SherriAnneBunny i wish there was! jusdt in case any fans are curious why the musaic was changed, although I don't work for Disney myself i've heard from various sourches it waas done for better coreogrphy (there's 1 section of the old soundtrack that has 3 beats of music while the rest oif it has 2 beats. the third beat was eliminated to keep dancers from ending up on the wrong foot.

It puts a smile on my face even now and I couldn't help but notice there wasn't even one smile there that night and it's so sad to see all the blank stares and just on to the next thing look in people's eyes. *sighs* And this brings back some wonderful memories for me. yea this was recorded during the summertime, it was BRUTAL hot during the day. I think just everyone was drained. My wife was SMOKED after this parade, she was holding on to two toddlers for almost an hour while I filmed. It was pretty hot when I recorded this, I think it was over 100 degrees during the day, and the high eighties during the evening. It was hot to say the least. I have noticed that people are ALOT more happier during the winter months!

I know it well and also had the great opportunity to perform in the Candlelight ceremony during the Winter Months with my Highschool with Joeseph Capanella. Thank you for posting this! I am also thankful for someone else who finally understands the importance of a complete show from beginning to end. I feel the exact same way. My only criticism would be the quick edit at the end, to include the Fanfare of Lights and closing announcement, but at least you made an effort to get it in. The sound was fantastic as well.

Actually one the first day I turned the camera off and didn't realize that there was an ending announcement. So on the second day, I started recording with about 5 minutes left in the parade, and merged the two clips together. You've got the parade from day 1, ending from day 2. I'm glad you enjoyed it! This was a 3GB file when I uploaded it!
