George & Teddy and the Condors were the King's of North Beach in San Francisco. They were known as one of the most exciting live acts of their time. The Beatles visited their show in Italy, Sly was George's first bass player, and Tower Of Power said they grew up idolizing their every move. I wish there was more footage to be found. RIP Uncle Teddy Brown. I enjoy relaxing with my Dad and George Benson and listen to them reminisce.
The comment written by the person who posted this, "Best Scopitone ever made", is absolutely correct. And I say this as a big fan of "Caught In The Web of Love" by Joi Lansing, "Land of A Thousand Dances" by April and Nino, and "For You" by Freddie Bell and Roberta Linn. They're great...but this one is the best.
OK,have righted the thumbs, yes The Hollies did this as their first ever single, even The Searchers had a go at it,much rockier versions than the comic routine shown here.
ha ha,hit the thumbs down button in error then couldnt change it,oh well as Pete Green would say.Regards video, ha ha so many happy harmless people, think I will stick with The Hollies on their later versionmthis is fun though.
very nice..

The man on the bass is my dad, David!, and the one on the guitar is my uncle Tom. What a real trip to see them in action.

Taking nothing away from The Hollies or The Searchers, those blokes just can't hold a candle to this scorching version of "Ain't That Just Like Me."
This 'Scopitone' clip has a real night club feel with George & Teddy with The Condors setting the mood.
The dancers keep the mood red hot.

Weren't George & Teddy gospel/folk singers before they went white and died?
