  • Cilla sings this from the heart and soul, a song to bring you to tears if you've ever felt the way she sings x

  • I'm so torn between Cilla's amazing powerful version and Dionne's heartfelt version. I love them both so much!

  • Listening to this you can really heae the influence Florence Foster Jenkins had on her voice. In fact Cilla was to pop what Florence was to opera. For those of you that like this performance you must hear Florence Foster Jenkins singing The Queen Of The Night, you'll love it..

  • What a fantastic performance, made to look completely effortless, have to say she looked(s) great too !

  • hey guys. Hope everyone is well and having great 2012. Please visit my youtube channel... OliviaJadeArchbold. Where your find i have done a cover of this beautiful track. Olivia Jade xXx

  • @kevinherbert thanks kevin

  • ok, im going to try to stop watching now. Help me. Anyone who had a heart ......

  • @unclenora thanks for watching

  • I must stop watching this. But, ooooh. They say she was like the girl next door. Well, the girl next door to me was nothing like she was or still is. This was her perfect song. Nobody ever touched it. Dusty did a good version but there wasnt the same emotion. Cilla became a lot more polished after this. Her contact with the Beatles made a difference but for me, this was the perfect Cilla, young and sublime.

  • @unclenora dusty and petula were great in their time too

  • great cover. Cilla, How are you after these many years?

  • @scottybroker scotty thanks for comment cilla lives about half hr from me

  • @snorben maybe who knows

  • Love this!!

  • @steviebal1 thanks for comment

  • What year / show is this from? I don't think Cilla had hair this short in '65?

    Wonderful version!

  • @ChasNDaveVideos think it was 64/65 or there abouts

  • Brilliant & moving!!! :)

  • @njmhk thanks for watching

  • cilla sings this song from the heart[no pun intended]she owns this song,a million seller and cilla belts it out with such power, then you get the soft cilla voice too, fantastic, love you to bits cilla.

  • @faltskog36abba glad ou like the video

  • when i was young this used to give me "the Shivers" it still does, Burt Bachcarack was a genius

  • @triffiks bacharach did a lot of good music and songs

  • streets ahead of Dionne Warwick's version. Much better production, more dramatic!

  • @robjune14 i have to agree

  • This was my dads favorite R.I.P.

  • @tonybell1948 thank you for comment

  • one singer one song...she owns it!

  • Early Cilla - FANTASTIC Performance - actually the best one I think I've seen. AND looks like George Martin conducting!!! WHAT COULD BE BETTER?

  • @LifeInSpace thanks for the comment

  • A real singer. Scouse girls rule!

  • @49ersruleok thanks for comment

  • I watch and listen to this .... and tears well up in my eyes, running down my cheeks; I''m a 61 year old guy... transported back to his second year in high school... such a happy time. The emotions triggered from that era come back so strongly to the presesnt moment. It's not merely nostalgia. I mean her voice and her ability to carry emotion through the song with such effect is unique and powerful.

  • @greenbrae7 glad you like the song and video

  • Flawless rendition. I had thought dionne's was the best until I heard this. Much more feeling and heart in her song.

  • @pastachowicz i agree this is better than dionne

  • this came from the heart

  • @gazzah54 thanks for the comment

  • Love you so much Cilla!!! Still going strong after all this time!! Thankyou so much for posting this! Loving that her accent is still prominent in this performance!!

  • @aleswitch you are welcome thanks for watching

  • What a voice!!!!!! Really more opera than pop, with her power...amazing....I am in awe of Cilla Black

  • @nicodagger she did some good songs in her early part of career

  • Of all the versions of this song, this one really gets at the BITTERNESS of the lyrics--Cilla really lets it fly. I love her cold "What am I to do?" that changes into a shrill fortissimo "Anyone who had a heart would love me too!" Nothing in this version is as sweet as Dionne Warwick, but the song is not sweet. Great post.

  • @joncheskin thank you

  • Pop Perfection !

  • @gazzymodo thanks for watching

  • Great singer and great song (Burt Bacharach)

  • @NICKALEXPROD thank you for comment

  • @HardWarUK yes she does show emotion

  • Love this

  • @clewisca thanks

  • that's sir george martin conducting

  • @1cheshirecat not sure who is conducting

  • Still probably her best song, I loved it when I was 15 and I still do.

  • @Juneh21 it is one of her better songs

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG

  • @wexfordboyful yes i agree

  • Cilla Black had such a powerful voice! Growing up in the 60s I never understood why she was never a big name in the U.S. like Dusty Springfield or Petula Clark. She definitely was a better singer than either one of them.

  • @WLASteve she was as good as them

  • Priscilla White, I STILL LOVE YOU 4-Ever ....CA$H ,
