I've seen another version of this were your choice is to push a person infront of a train so it stops or just let the five die.. which for many people is harder to do (including me)

It was their choice to walk the dangerous path. They should have ran to limit the exposure to danger. The five could not get out of the way, the one may have a chance to get out of the way, so I would have chosen the one in hope that he would jump up the hill.
