It really depends on the way you define Freedom/Liberty. A lot of people want to separate Negative and Positive Liberties into two categories, but in reality, when you want to have a fair society, you need to have both Negative and Positive.
I guess Im mainly worried about job prospects being avaliable up there more than anything. Trying to get myself off the ground financially and having a hard time here finding a decent paying job after putting in resumes all over which kind of sucks. Small town, not much around. With the economy in the shape it is currently what advice would anybody give to somebody like me?
Yeah I wouldnt mind moving up to New Hampshire, would enjoy the cold and snow, getting sick after 25 years of living in Texas, the hurricane worry every year, the rising crime, the hot stagnant ass summers, the mosquito population. Im just wondering how hard it would be to find a job up there. The problem is that I dont have any college except for some when I was in the Air Force, but have worked a number of different jobs and have a multitude of experience in different areas, mainly computers
I live in Texas, plan on graduating in 2012 with a BA in Economics, and am more and more stoked to move to New Hampshire. I have never been to NH, though I would move anywhere, even to Death Valley, if it meant that I could see total freedom in my life time. Liberty or Death!!!!
Hey Russell! Yes, NH is great. I like having four seasons of fun here. Leaf peeping is second to none. The winter - is cold, but I have heated house, heated car, and jackets. It's fine. I like the sound that ice makes when it's super-cold - tinkles like broken glass. There are more liberty-minded folk here in one square mile, than in all of Oregon.
Living in California right now getting my BA degree, been taxed to death here in California considering moving to NH because I may soon not be able to afford living in California
@knowwatimeanlike "permanent resident"? Hell even illegals get schooled, public assistence, welfare, and instate college tuition in the United States...so what's holding you back?
Heh, so true! No, if I was going to immigrate to the U.S. I'd prefer to come in the "Front Door", unlike so many of my less scrupulous countrymen before me!
That is totally awesome! I think hubby, I and the kiddies will come check it out there. May be the place to hang our hats for sure. You should check out our sovereignwarriors community its boomin! Go to my channel and click on the web link sovereignwarriorsning site. And spread the word to your NH buddies. Im so down to go!
this is encouraging to visit at least,.....have no passport badly,...maybe ill use that north american driving licence,... hope i dont get rock trown at me lol
lake water is good or polluted ? we also have alot of lake in Quebec ( the province ) i think 30% of them still good / pure ,...i wondering about NH ones
I've been following the fsp for about 8 yrs. and my wife and I have discussed moving to N.H., but we can't seem to find the right time to make this happen. We have 3 children and I am currently in school. I would like to move there soon, but finding a job and transferring to a school to get my B.S. degree might prove difficult. Trying to support a family and aquire an education is frightening to say the least. One way or another, we will make this happen.
That's an interesting question. I know I'm still on my way up to NH and I'm honored to be part of such wonderful people working for the noblest cause which is freedom. Sorry I don't have a clear answer for you, but I sure know that I'm on my way up to do all I can do.
I agree. Your questions does not offend but if people don't like to hear things they still like to push an agenda. It's just human nature to shut off the unpleasant and perhaps painful questions. It took me rereading it to understand because you had thumbs down.
I'm not a delegate. I wish I had the means currently but I don't believe it's possible.
Thank you for being a delegate!!! I'm going to forward you an email that you will like. Please watch for it in your inbox!!! VERY Important!
EXCELLENT email but very truncated. Perhaps it's posted on a blog somewhere and a link for it?
Yeah, your right about the trigger happy rEVOLutionaries- I've done it a couple of times too. It's not hard to Undo ;-) if folks chip in and thumb up :-D
There is more to that email... A LOT more!!! Please check your inbox for my email address so I an forward it to you! It will help you take over the caucus! I swear!
I am joining the FSP too. I was initially put off by the cold climate in NH, but I would rather be cold and free than warm and not free. It will be about 2 years before I am ready, but I can't wait!
Want free vote Ron Paul. Hey FSM guys I know you know, but lets get the message spread. I am in TX. But lived in NH for some time. One of my roomates was a FSP guy buy the name of Rob. He turned me on to it all. You have my support.
I am very seriously considering the move to NH. I am a musician, and was wondering how the music scene is up there? are there many venues to play at? I admire what you all have done
I'd leave NY State and move to NH, but I'd have to have a job waiting for me first. Any Sheriff's Dept. Correction Officer jobs open there? Let me know. Hey, it's either NH or WO. Help me out here, will ya? J 11FF/AO-11 NYSUOM
We'd love to have 100 Libertarians per square mile! Just kidding. If you love the excitement of downtown, you can live in Manchester, which is like a cleaner, tax-free, gun-friendly, version of most American cities. If you want your closest ten neighbors to be moose (not kidding) you can live in the North country. It's beautiful unspoilt wilderness up there. And there are many small New England type towns in between.
Did that answer your question, or did I misunderstand?
VOTE FOR RON PAUL!!!!
