The way Dexter should end is by getting caught by michael grey gubler from Criminal Minds.Then since he is a good serial killer he can go to work for them.Also they could show the show from both angles.Dexter trying not to get caught,then you watch Criminal Minds and they are trying to catch him.

Dexter seasons 1 to 5 have been amazing but season 6 was terrible. I didn't want to admit it until there complete destroyed one of the key relationships in the series; which is dexter and debra. As brother and sister!!! What the fuck is this thing with Debra being in love with him. Liking your step brother I can understand. But being in love with someone that you've grown up with as your brother is sick. Even if dexter is adopted it's still wrong. Complete let down this season. Ev

I loved all the seasons, but 4 and 6 are definitely my favorite! I thought I would hate the religious aspects, but I thought they did it very well. Can't wait until next season!
They really overdid season 6 imo, all those HIGHLY unlikely plots (the gas in the station, the pickup at sea, the chance to smash the devils painting, the fact that dexter didn't change locks while his keys and wallet were in the hands of travis, batista surviving travis AND fire, etc.) and way to many storylines stuffed in one season are the result of forcing to create something better than the previous seasons. The nuances, the monologues, the mysteriousness is gone.
@schoenbaard Yes,well said. It was like watching a mixture of 24 and Prison Break, kinda like the previous season as well. The special atmosphere and the essence of the show are completely gone.
@gassmann123 The season would've been good if the major plot twist wasn't obvious from the second episode. Also, Dexter needs more kill-room scenes. 3 in a season isn't enough. This season finale was weak. The final scene was a decent cliffhanger but if I know the writers right the they will have Deb pass out and forget this happened and "boom", all the tension from the last seasons cliffhanger is gone. Same as season 5. Season 4 was praised for it's ending, and S5 failed horribly.
