  • "I've been a diehard user of energizer" too bad diehard is a battery company itself

  • Why don't you run scientific tests on each of the batteries. Sounds like you judged something by it's cover. And we all know that don't work. Right Elaine???

  • wow

    what battery will you purchase

please dont make a video for the hell of it

I mean like think about it

  • Is that a guy?

  • It keeps going and going wow durcell sucks it hard :P.

  • the energizer bunny wins!

  • Another great video, I wish that we were back in the days of 90% engineering and 10% marketing. Seems these days it is the other way around. Have a great day!

  • Thank you for that great public service announcement. I'll pass it on to all I know!

  • I have been using Duracell for years up until now...

  • I've always hated Duracel and favoured Energizer because they simply lasted longer... I always thought they were just crappier at making batteries... Now I know they are intentionally manufacturing shitty batteries. Great vid.

  • Hey you still around Elaine. Just checking up on ya.

    Tim

  • Thanks Elaine, I was the Duracell posterboy until now. If only the manufacturers would label the battery with real world Amperage ratings like two way radio batterys and even car batterys.

  • That's outrageous!

  • Good to see you back on. Interesting about the batteries. Looks like at Duracell some bean-counter doing the engineering. We have the same problem: "Use this part it's cheaper", "but it doesn't work as well", "use it anyway".

  • Great! Thank you! I have learnt something new today. Love, Natazha xxxxx

  • Well, I don't want to offend anyone but I have to say that this doesn't mean anything. You could very well be right and Duracell is inferior but to draw that conclusion just from cut open battery packs makes no sense, not logical and not scientific. Discharge the two types measuring the actual charge that was stored in them and then draw conclusions.

  • Hi Elaine,

thanks for the Video. Very interessting.

Can you post the type of that two batteries?

I would like to have a look into the datasheets to see what the both companies tell about the capacity of the parts.

  • Hi Elaine. Never got my answers! Hope you are okay.

  • I enjoyed your new battery expose' vid Elaine!

Duracell also uses D-cells with cardboard spacers inside their "spring-top" lantern batteries. It seems like there are much fewer applications for lantern batteries these days than there was years ago.

  • Hi Elaine. It is so great to see you! And thank you so much for the information about the batteries. It's good to know that the Eveready Energizer is the best. Take care!~Moonchime♥

  • hi elaine. well the coppertop ones certainly have had me fooled for years. nice to see you back. have you read all those books behind you?

  • I've read about half of them ... Now that I'm retired, more time to delve into the mysteries of black-ops projects ..

  • Lol, Well, I see that my Consumer Reports joke was already taken. ;-)

This really was extremely interesting! And just to think my 22 year old son had the nerve to tell me that you can't learn anything past the age of 40!

  • Glad to hear someone else was thinking that!

  • Now we know! Thanks Elaine, keep posting.Stacy

  • Now we know what the bunny keeps on running! Randy

  • Excellent consumer detective work. Welcome back 73 Jay

  • Thank you for a very informative video Elaine... u were missed.
