Years ago I saw LKJ perform in Minneapolis. The curtain rose on the stage and revealed only a microphone, a small shock since I had expected that the Dennis Bovell Dub Band was performing as well. My disappointment vanished quickly as I, and I think everyone in the club, was transfixed by the power of the message and the skill of the delivery that Linton brought to his poems. What a remarkable artist!
