  • PAUL BANNERMAN!

  • Wow that was unlike any juggling routine I have ever seen. I'm jealous of this guy he looks like he's having so much fun! Fantastic performance...leave it to Cirque to always get the best.

  • Like Mathieus face at 1:43

  • Why must he put on that ugly suit...

  • @JugglingIsNotACrime Shouldn't you be doing some juggling instead of posting stupid comments?

  • One of the best jugglers I've ever seen!

  • This man must be popular with the ladies..

  • *claps* this is one of the many reasons why Varekai is one of my favorite Cirque du Soleil shows. When this show came to my area, they were in their yellow tent, and I felt like I was back to the old kid circus acts!

  • His last name sure describes him perfectly :D

  • wow...at first, i thought it's good eyes-hands coordination....then came feet, MOUTH!!!!

  • I was recently in Ostend.

    I have seen him.

and I went to one of the workers.

prompted whether I could get a signature and that ass.

I gave him my juggling club.

    I got him back later.

    been written with lyrics:)

and I've got a picture where he gets up with me jugglingclub.

  • yo amo a este hombre y no me canso de verlo me da mucho orgullo mostrarselo a mis amigos extranjeros pero me da mas orgullo decir que es mexicano

  • this is completely about what cirque du soleil is about, a colourful act that is beautiful to watch and just breathtaking in skill. he pulls it off and makes it look simple.

  • 3:31 LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's getting tea bagged. And P.s. He probably owns at video games. ;) Some impressive shit though.

  • Amazing.

  • OMG! I can hardly juggle with five balls!! this man is just amazing! Best routine I've seen till now!

    (sorry for my terrible English!)

  • God he's got amazing lung power to be able to shoot the ping-pong balls so high up with his mouth alone.

  • would be one of the hardest jobs in the world to find someone as talented and as fantastic as this guy!

  • his boyfriend is really lucky =D

  • @shichan Is he gay then?

  • @Travestipsy94 perhaps, perhaps not, but come on! blowing ping pong balls out of your mouth that fast, that takes some major practice.

  • @shichan Okay... maybe you're right! But he's very talented, and I don't know if that has anything to do with the fact that he's gay :) , but I think he's awesome and ass-kicking!

  • does anyone know a link to the performce where an athlete would rest someone on his legs and then flick him, he would then land on his bum on the blokes feet, was amazing, but i cant find it anywhere

  • @hazuki2k yeah its called the 'Icarian Games' in the Varekai set

  • Mathieu totally rocks this song

  • i lake the face of mooky in 5:20

  • what is the name of the song?

  • is great, is the best juggling routine I ever seen

  • As kensiph says, this is much much more than the act, ist tha atmosphere, i've seen it live, and it has no comparison

  • Yep, I see. ;c)

And the show is truly awesome.

  • But I think, it's not only because of the act. I never heard of another Circus with that atmosphere, these acts and all that stuff. If the 3 other people would perform this without music, without the story behind the Varekai Show and the costumes, would you pay the same price for watching them?

Of course, the prizes are high, but I think it's worth it.

It's more than only a circus.

  • Wow dude, no offense or anything, but i couldn't disagree more. And guess what, it is special, because you cant' probably do any of this. I 'm not saying I could do all of this, but it's pretty amazing. To sum up everything I said, you could shut your mouth, because you don't know what you're talking about.

  • this was @ derekdingle

  • 3 performers out of how many people in the world? even if a 100 jugglers could do this, it's still impressive if you look at how many people can't

  • Love the way the singer is laughing along too XD

  • when he gets to the hats i get so tired just from watching lol

  • FROM ABOUT 4:02 onward, whats that sound called made from his mouth?

  • "tuvin", I think

  • no offense, but this is not human.

  • I definantly want to see this one live. This, Alegria, Drallion, KA, and KOOZA. They're well worth it...even at the price of the seats.

I went to see "O" at Bellagio in Las Vegas and that was worth to see live. :D

  • check out my juggling video! my juggling with a spoon was inspired by Octavio (the guy in this video)

  • the two at the end, epic!

  • Is it true that OVO has no juggler?

  • Why am I even alive if I can't do that?

  • oh man, i saw him yesterday live... it was so awesome! my fav act ws the aerial straps because it was really beautiful, but this one was like, my second fav becuase he really enjoy doing this and he was really happy doing it! I felt how he ewas, speaccially when everyone was cheering for him x3

  • you lucky bastard.. i always wanted go to go to a cirque show. but i have to settle for the DVD and Youtube..

    0:D:D:D:D

  • He is just great!

  • I love his little wink at the audience at 1:01, makes the act all the more magical.

You can just tell, this is a man who loves his job, and life in general.

  • Shit I can't decide who's better, Octavio or Viktor.

  • They both PWN! let's just leave it at that.

  • Both are great in their different styles, personally i preffer Viktor, but Octavio are more charming in the stage as well as use all the space

  • all i can say is excellent!!!!!

  • that was so nice to see. i went to varekai when it first came to toronto and had the rare and very fine opportunity of meeting octavio at ontario place (during their off time). when i went to varekai the 2nd time he invited me and my friend backstage. what a treat. and i also got to have lunch w/him w the cast. a friend of mine painted a beautiful portrait of octavio from a photo i had taken. he is a very sweet person. nice to see him here.

  • omg lucky!

  • When it comes to the people who entertain us, more often then not, the general feeling of the aura they give, you know they think they're better then you. Ego is an ugly thing. It's people like this man here, that makes the world a little easier place to live in. I always thought this act was amazing, but after learning a little bit more about him... I've come to the conclusion I'd rather meet him once face to face than any hollywood star or singers today.

    SO jealous right now. =P

  • from my perspective and experience in meeting and spending time with him, he is a very humble man. no ego detected whatsoever. you called it right on! :)

  • No kidding. I think people put on better performances when they really enjoy themselves, and live for the audience. ;3

  • what's the song at the begginig called?

  • The Allegria brothers are great juggelers his brother Arturo Allegria just past away he was a very skilled performer. R.I.P. Arturo.

  • aww that sucks :(

  • I have to say, all these guys are are circus freaks. that being said, circus freaks are the coolest people ever!

  • luv the pingpon bit

  • probably the best cirque juggling act yet. I've seen Quidam, dralion, varekai, corteo and kooza and this is my all time favorite show. LOVE THIS!

  • I've seen Varekai, La Nouba and just saw Dralion last night and I have to agree that this juggling act was my fave

  • wow, even just seeing him juggling clubs is amazing! much harder than just balls. Pure talent!

  • omg so cool!

  • OH MY GOD!!! y de pensar que solo me quedan unos mesecitos para poder verlos en SEVILLA uuuuuueeeeeeeeee

  • qué bestia, madre mía

  • One of my favorite jugglers of all time! His control is amazing and his energy is outstanding! Go Octavio!

  • i would smile all the way through if i could do that too:}

  • His smiling face during the entirety of this performance is just hilarious.

  • absolutetly amazing. His and Anthony Gatto`s are the best jugglings act I ever saw in a Cirques

  • anthony gatto has a youtube-channel, his practise-videos are great. he might really be the best juggler on the planet, with thomas dietz (who also has a youtube-channel) being close second.

    gattos recent practise-video: watch?v=HLBGCBxG8Gs

  • Octavio Alegria!

I find it cool that his name is Alegria, the name of one of Cirque's most famous shows, and also meaning "Joy".

  • and from what i know of him...he lives up to his name. a beautiful person.

  • Anyone know if this song is on the soundtrack?

  • he has extremely good coordination like with those 4 balls...spinning 1, bouncing 1, juggling 2...and with the hats transferring them over his head :) that was cool and the fast mouth juggling!

  • How the hell do you juggle with your tongue?!!

  • i'm guessing the ladies love this guy. winkwink. :p

  • How many spins is he using in the 3 club cascade?

  • He is doing double-spins it seems.

  • octavio alegria is the best!!!!!!!!!

and paul ponce is to but, no like octavio!!!

    :D

  • has anyone got a video of paul ponce doing this act??? i also read somewhere that it said that "paul ponce is a temporarily fill for octavio"

  • He's so amazing. XD

  • the hat thing is the weakest part of this act

  • Okay, it's cool to know that not everyone likes it so please don't react to this as negativity, but I am really suprised, most people love that part of the act! So why, in your opinion, is it so weak? Just interested.

  • because all he does is toss the hat and run to catch it. I love cirque. They are the best and I know how good they can be, and this doesn't show that.

  • holy shit do you have any idea how hard it is throwing hats like that???? you're a retard

  • seriously... this guy's amazing... he does the impossible!

  • It is pretty damned hard.

  • I agree, it isn't as difficult as his other stuff. But it is fun to watch, and (although it could just be good acting) that he's just doing it because it's fun. -shrugs-

And.. Well, compared to my juggling skills (meaning none, of course) everything he's doing is amazing XD

  • So ashame I couldn't see him doing this act, he'd just left Varekai temporarily and Paul Ponce was his substitute. Paul Ponce kinda sucks, he only makes mistakes.

  • I'm sure Octavio does to. Paul Ponce is one of the greatest jugglers of all time.

  • you talk like stupid. both are good, both are working!! where are you working?

  • Acropolis, Sanitation Dept.

  • octavio is so amazing ..... go octavio

  • I saw him live on the 27th of April in Amsterdam, he was so amazing.......:D(Y)

  • Amazing.....!!!

  • Hahaha the ending.

    "Ooh I wanna - wha-oh OOW!!"

  • wow men awesome this is the better juggler i ever senn ang he is mexican! awesome!!

  • this is amasing and all but he only has three pins in the begining

  • that may be true, but his 3 pin juggling is probly far more entertaining than his 5 pin juggling...I think 3 pins is just fine...and yer defianatelly right with it being amazing, especcially from a jugglers point of view!

  • WOW!!!

  • This guy is AMAZING! Until I went to see this show live, I had never seen a crowd get worked up after a circus act...EVER! This guy had people in hysterics...awesome.

  • But now he is gone from Varekai

    YAY

    :D

  • I'm not sure if it's the make up or what, but this guy's smile is extra hilarious.

  • I dont think it was the best act, but it was amazing anyway. BTW, Where is he from?

  • probably france - most of C d S's acts are mainly french people

  • Nope, he's Mexican! =D

His name is Octavio Alegria. <3

  • He is from a family of circus artists, there are some videos of his brother arturo on the internet, notice the style similaritys.

  • lol - so he is one of the few who isn't

    i took a gamble =D

  • You mean Frech-canadian ;)

  • C d S isn't from France... It's from Quebec.

  • No not really. CdS has people from many many nationalities and countries. The circus is mostly run by Canadians (not french) but the actors aren't mostly french. Frankly, I see a fair more chinese/eastern europeans than French to tell all truth.

  • 3:25

    wow... just wow

  • went to see this live at the albert hall 3 days ago! most amazing show ever!! every1 go and see it! absolutely stunning. i have the DVD but i still cant watching on youtube :P lol

  • Octavio Alegria...his last name sure fits. Look at that smile. :D

  • I want to do that when I grow up :b

    Absolutely amazing!

  • saw this last night at the royal Albert hall, tbh i thought he was the best act...never seen juggling skills that good....especially where he is doing the juggling with his mouth, just amazing

  • his act is very variety show, i like it.

  • yeah quit being so rude on these comments .. this guys is way better than u are i bet!! if u even can juggle.. and if he dropped one.. who gives a fuck.. ppl can make a mistake now and then sheesh

  • Lol! Love the part at 1:02 ;)

  • Man!! oO WTF?!:D It's sick. Trening, trening, trening

  • this dude is amasing. I love the mouth thing, and the costume.

  • awesome juggling next time make a music video that has this song with little einsteins.

  • what the frick?

  • Man he's good @@@@ that!!!

  • nice in belguim antwerp (24/11/2007) he let fall a ball when he tried to get 2 balls on that stick

  • I was there too :D

  • so what? who cares about when he drops, i don't. i care about the incredible bits where he suceeds.

  • awesome! thanks very much. Best wishes, Kim

  • pure genius!

  • very nice

  • Absolutely amazing. This guy is affected by gravity in a different way than regular people =P

  • I'm not too crazy about juggling either, but this has to be one of my favorite Cirque acts.

  • Quidam-Quidam=VAREKAI

  • that is one of the greatest things i have ever seen. it's even better live

  • wow wow wow woah woah that is awesome

  • Why did you put in a search for it then?

  • WTF??? :| Why does it?

  • Gasp! How can you say that! Why do you watch it then!

  • If ciruqe pisses you off, then why watch it in the first place?

  • y arriba mexico, cabrones!!! yes! octavio was born in the same place i did! i absolutely admire him. he's the greatest juggler i've seen.

  • i cant juggle you guys look like this huy is a hero i wish i could juggle like him

  • Love it, Cant wait till they open the Magic/Illusion based Cirque show at the luxor in summer of '08, Im gonna send a tape in to them for that show ;)

  • iM Usually not a big fan of Cirque Du Soliel jugglig but that was very impressive indeed

  • u no wats funni? 27 michelo27 saes hes ten nd cn juggle tht well rite? well clik on his name nd it saes hes 37...oh poor michelo still asks his dad for permission

  • I love this guy. He showed up on Fire Within with such a big smile on his face, that you knew he just loved to entertain. He has an amazing energy on stage.

  • You know when he dives for the hat like thing at the end. He was suposed to do that, because the music & singer go with it.

  • Octavio looks like a happy guy.

He smiles through the whole act, he looks like he enjoys his job. I'd give anything to Juggle that good.

  • And the best part is he's STILL doing this act!!!! :D

  • i can juggle that good and i'm only 10yrs old, this is wear i wanna work when i'm older... as soon as my dad lets me im gonna post a video on youtub of me juggling...

  • Really... good for u.

  • He does look like a happy guy. His last name sure fits. Alegria means happiness in Spanish, if I'm not mistaken.

  • Happiness or Joy, either one I guess, dont you think?

  • ur right it means happiness oy joy

  • ur right it means happiness oy joy

  • That's amazing.

  • I love this music and can´t find the lyrics, so i decide to create one.Tell me what you think and please make the corrections you think necessary!

  • Awesome! the lyrics are right! good job!, yea i really like this music too i hope someone knows wot the music to this act is called... by the way is the lyrics french? portugese?

  • I think that is african or a invented language

  • My sister did some work with guys from Cirque du Soleil and they said it's gypsy.

  • so the whole music to this act is called emballa? Thanks!!! but doesnt the music change half way through? is it still the same?

  • Emballa have the part when the vocalist sings but the rest is in portuguese(Brazil), so thar part is Emballa. The rest of the music i don´t know:(
