  • So many people from all round the world laid their lives down in the second world war. Churchill nearly went mad trying to convince the uk government that hitler was a nasty bit of work. A large number of UK "leaders" wanted to leave hitler to it 'cos they also hated jews and the like. I'm proud of what the UK did (when it became apparent that we had no other course of action). The yanks can't win, we moan 'cos they only joined us after pearl-harbour...then say they had no right to enter Iraq?

  • "And documents are not only never wrong, but they also ALWAYS tell the truth."

You are implying that the intervention of Britain into the second world war and hitlers documented intentions were wrong.

Please back this up with evidence then. Or maybe all the history books are wrong, twat

  • Good point, and good video.

But there is no way that

1: a radar guided SAM would track a small metalic bit behind a big jet

2: he would not appear on radar, the Typhoon is a big target

3: the missile would do a complete 180 going vertical then come down and kill another jet like that

  • OMG this is so irritating, everywhere i go, this stupid argument on all military related videos, why won't you just let viewers enjoy the video without the bitter after taste of attacking eachother, F-22 is a good jet Eurofighter is also a good jet created for very different reason. It's like trying to compare your cock to your sister's pussy??? It doesn't work like that. Now all of you just fuck off else where with your stupid argument, i don't wanna hear them!!!

  • the iris-t and the atlas 4 are the new air to air misiles for the proyect with the all bae systems avionics and selfdefence like decoys and flares its awesome machine

  • This old timer was concieved in 1979. Ths plane is commonly compared to the f-18f superhornet. Although the superhornets has more advanced electronics. Built by a consordium starting in 1986. Not bad for it's age, but by no means comparable to the F-22

  • When it comes right down to it, this is about English engineering vs American engineering, and for the last century, we've looked at what England was doing, and made something different and better. In that respect, WE are better. That, and we're not colonizing pricks.

  • Eurofighter is british and german engineering .

  • wtf pwned

  • Every person under 40 that I talk to about WW2 has a stick up they're ass about how much better they are than Americans and you don't need our help, and same for the French. It's because your too young to remember, and you got no respect. I watch BBC, I know how they like to paint it, and all I'm saying is, Monty was a fuckin moron.

  • But what I'm saying is, you never give America any credit for anything, and refuse to acknowledge that you would have been A LOT worse off if not for our help, both before and after we "joined the war"

  • oh my god kid give it up. Your just gonna make me repeat myself. I know you guys had planes and pilots, and code breakers (which really only helped you in naval operations) and invented radar. WOOHOO GOD SAVE THE QUEEN, we get it.

  • "and refuse to acknowledge that you would have been A LOT worse off if not for our help"

Quite correct. However mericans must lso acknowledge that

    1. America did NOT enter the war to aid Europe. They only enter the war after pearl harbour was bombed and germany declared war on U. You were fighting for your own survival.

    2. Britain entered the war and delcared war on germany not vice versa. Britain could have avoided war but we did not.

  • You have to aknowledge your failure in terminology. We didn't declare war on anyone to help Europe, your right, but we were sending over planes pilots and supplies before pearl harbor, so it depends what you mean by "enter the war".

And Britain just declared war on germany BEFORE germany had the chance to spread all the way to them. Do you really think Hitler would have stopped at France and said "oh thats brittain, nevermind them we're homies, but fuck everybody on the mainland"

  • Germany had no intentions of invading countries outside poland, yugoslavia and other former germanic nations.

It is widely documented that Hitler did not want conflict with either france or britain and he avoided it at all costs.

  • oh, because people never change their mind about things, least of all hitler, I mean, he was pretty much the most reliable and predictable guy ever. And documents are not only never wrong, but they also ALWAYS tell the truth. For cerial guys, man bear pig.

  • "oh, because people never change their mind about things, least of all hitler"

Is this supposed to resemble some kind of argument ?

  • "For cerial guys, man bear pig. "

    Please grow up.

  • Absolutely true, and remember until Japan attacked Pearl Harbour, they where extremely reluctant to join the war effort and England was the only nation in Europe facing putting up a significant fight against the Reich.

  • lol this is funny shit :D i love the Typhoon tho

  • Meteor AAM. Courtesy of the AIM 155 project. To get good missiles, you copy the USA designs.

  • Where is the great AIM-155 now then Oso1G ? and copy LOL ! get a clue the AIM-155 is around 3~4 times heavier ! it "would" have been just as useless against fighters as the AIM-54 "was". The Meteor on the other hand is the most capable LRAAM in the world, it pisses all over the old AIM54 and AIM-120D in one go.

Get back to me when the US or anybody makes something that can compete ! LOL

  • The original debate here is that you said:

"LOL ... Well the last "comparable" air force we fought was the Luftwaffe in WW2 and we didn't have any military support from anyone to defend our airspace then !"

which is not true, as you have admitted, because you did have military support to help defend your airspace, from the US (ammo, parts, pilots, and planes) and as you pointed out unknown to me, from france. You just contradicted yourself now stfu.

  • What part of "military support" don't you understand ? Britain didn't need Americas help to defend itself ! the support America gave was mainly food supplies, but it's all besides the point because you were not militarily involved in Europe until after 1940 !

  • In other words we would be of no assistance to America as an ally.

You were of assistance. Your country provided American soldiers with whores to screw. Your military was a fucking joke..much like today, but you did try.

  • Now you've done it I'm really pissed off !!!! ROFL

  • IF anything, Stallin would have been under so much social pressure and economic strain he would have had to turn on hitler in an attempt to bail out of the war. Now theres no more Russian support in Western Europe, and Hitler has a solid line all through the middle east assuming the Chinese didn't make a dent which they would have, and Hitler would have been forced to withdraw his forces back up north to his own borders to fend off the allies still losing eventualy.

  • So then with Japan gone, China has more resources to devote to their northern and Western fronts against the Nazis, and since Hitler would have to have a large force down in Africa to hold off the UK-US-Ausy forces on one side, and the Chinese on the other, UK-US troops would be fighting Russo guys in France, and hell, it wasn't untill they were pushed back to half way into their own country that the russion guys were a challenge for hitler, you think they wouldn't have been easy pickins?

  • Ok, so no more Japan. We should all know that occupations don't last long, just look at the trouple the Nazis had in Poland and Italy. You're telling me Brittain would have gone without a fight? It wouldn't have taken that much US support to get the Nazis to leave your little island alone, they'd be wanting to leave.

  • By the time you are putting up a resistance like in Poland your essentially defeated in every way short of complete surrender. I'm not saying that my country wouldn't have faught to the last man standing but if the Luftwaffe had gained air superiority then the infrastructure would have been destroyed in daylight raids, and the Navy in a short space of time also. In other words we would be of no assistance to America as an ally.

  • And ok, lets say America had to deal with Nazi Europe, and hitlers wife didnt hate commys, so we had to deal with soviet Russia, and Imperial Japan. Well for one, we would still have Australia, and China. And China if you know your geography would have been a right pain there underneath europe poling at hitlers foot. In the pacific, Australia would have reinforced China, and pinched the Japanese between the US just like what realy happned in the war.

  • Well it's all what if's but my point is if we had fallen you potentially faced a fight against at least the whole axis without another world power on your side, and Russia potentially either joining them or at least supplying them as they were already doing.

  • There were a few more reasons than just the failed invasion of the UK for Hitler to turn on Stallin. Hitler's wife nagged him to no end that she didn't like Stallin, or communists (she had some personal problems with them I dont know) She fucked up a few other key things for the germans as well.

  • You don't honestly believe that the invasion of Britain failed because Hitler's wife nagged him to much do you ?

  • "fond" as in fondacaroalfonso, the guy who posted the comment:

"look the cockades on the wings and under the canopy!

    THIS TYPHOON IS ITALIAN!

    W Italy, W Eurofighter, W Aeronautica Militare"

  • Hitler knew we were shipping all those resources to you, but he couldn't do anything about it without attacking us and bringing us into the war. I'm not saying that you would have been invaded without the US, you have a Giant mote around your little island, and even if Hitler got controll of your skies invasion would have created yet another battlefront for Hitler and he could barely handle the ones he had open already.

  • But it didn't stop the Kriegsmarine from trying to destroy those merchant ships in the Atlantic, which only the Royal Navy was defending. Don't forget that the "Giant mote" around this island would have been no defense without the RN sailing in it and the RAF defending the sky above their heads. And Hitler wasn't at war with Russia at that time in fact Russia was still supplying him resources so ...

  • If I know my history correctly, brittain was succesfully bombed by germany many times, civilians died. France had more pilots involved in the bob than america because they were fucking invaded and they were realy trying to help overturn their fate. We sent you so much crap its rediculous. Yeah, spare parts, for everything. Engines, planes, ailerons, bombs, ammunition, all that.

  • Britain was bombed but not as successfully as you think because much of the bombing was inaccurate due to some of the first electronic jamming systems that were used to confuse the direction finding equipment in the German bombers. Most failed to hit their intended targets, unfortunately though that meant they would end up dropping bombs on the residential areas instead most times.

  • "France had more pilots involved in the bob than america because they were fucking invaded and they were realy trying to help overturn their fate"

Still more pilots came from France, 10 volunteers came from America, it was a contribution but hardly something that you can use to claim Britain couldn't defend itself without America !

As for the military supplies you still haven't answered my previous response ...

  • Okay, first off, America had decided, and they decided not to get involved because we hadn't been attacked yet, but being our allies, we were GIVING you shit to fight with. Whats with this lending crap, like we realy expect you to send back blown up equipment.

  • The reason why attacking Britain wasn't a viable option is that the Luftwaffe couldn't gain air supremacy, they lost in the Battle of Britain. Additionally the Kriegsmarine knew they couldn't defend a landing by sea without air cover and the against the power of the Royal Navy. So I'll ask again which aircraft did America supply that Britain used to defend itself with ? And yes you did "lend" us supplies you didn't think the US gave it's support without a price tag attached did you ?

  • Ok, fond just pwned you guys. Second of all, you did have help defending your airspace in WW2 jackass. We were sending you supplies, spare parts, and even whole planes, and thats before America was attacked by Japan, because after that, we sent you pilots too! And besides, if you knew anything, you'd know that if we hadn't join the war when we did, you guys were done for in another month!

  • fond ??? WTF are you talking about ?

And yes supplies were desperately needed but to say we needed your help to defend ourselves is stretching it !

    "spare parts"

Spare parts for what ? front-line fighters, Warships ?

    "even whole planes"

So tell me which front line fighters that defended British airspace in the Battle of Britain where American ? or at least any weapon systems that helped deter the invasion ?

  • "and thats before America was attacked by Japan"

Also before America could make-up it's mind whether it could militarily aid an ally that was under threat from invasion !

    "we sent you pilots too!"

Yes I respect the 10 volunteer pilots from the US who fraught in the Battle of Britain but seriously there where more French pilots than that ...

  • Only we didn't need that long to prove to the Nazis that an invasion would be impossible and of course you forget to mention the fact that although we were "lent" supplies by the US they were defended across the Atlantic solely by the RN at that point. And we were fighting Nazi Germany who were in control of all Europe's resources with the support of the other Axis powers and Russia yet with no military support from anybody Britain managed to defend itself.

  • More importantly for the first time the Nazis had been stopped and so the Nazi's failure to invade Britain in 1940 was the turning point of the entire war ! their failure to invade Britain lead to Hitler breaking his pact with Stalin and attacking Russia instead. So you could wonder if Britain had fallen in 1940 and Hitler didn't have reason to break his pact with Stalin, Russia may never have entered the war and America would have been faced with Nazi Europe, Soviet Russia, and Imperial Japan !

  • look the cockades on the wings and under the canopy!

  • globemaster, you thinking stealth is wimpy is exactly why you have nothing to do with any military desicions ever. The RAF has never faced any opponent with a technologicly equal Air Force without the help of america. Secondly, did you even watch the video? The bad guys totaly saw that missile coming from 2 miles away and escaped even if their bunker got blown up. Good job RAF!

  • "The RAF has never faced any opponent with a technologicly equal Air Force without the help of america."

LOL ... Well the last "comparable" air force we fought was the Luftwaffe in WW2 and we didn't have any military support from anyone to defend our airspace then !

"Battle of Britain" ring any bells ?

  • "commanding the skies without compromises"

    generalization: bad men smoke.

  • just cuz the f-22s stealthy of which i consider is wimpy the RAF have never had a stealth plane and won everywar they have fought in (except with help from the us in WW2) and we've never had stealth but u have to have yur wimpy f-117s and b2s of which are nice aircraft but o well and anyway the typhoon can hit a target of 2 miles away without the traget itself knowing and with awacs in air too that can reach 102 miles so do i have to say more of the RAF/NAVY/ARMY AIRCRAFT

  • You consider stealth wimpy? Idiot! Im british too but I have to say that the Raptor would come out on top in a one on one encounter with a Typhoon. And hate to burst your bubble but the eurofighter is built of composite materials that give it stealth characteristics (It appears about a quater the normal size on radar). I doubt that a Raptor could match the same kind of swing role capabilities of the Typhoon, but, its stealth that wins...(Eurofighter in arial combat comes a very close second)

  • The title screen, "Nothing comes Close," is rather funny. To my knowledge, America's fourth generation air superiority fighter, the F-15, is competitive with the Eurofighter, and I also know, the F-22 Raptor could blast the F-15 out of the sky. So I'm sure the F-22 could "come close" to the abilities of the Typhoon, and if not, the Eurofighter would get blown away before the before it even saw the F-22 on radar.

  • Anyone detect a hint of Behind Enemy Lines in the SAM scene? :p Cool vid tho

  • Yep, execpt luck was on the side of the airplane this time. The EFA may not be as good as the F-22 but it sure as hell is better than our frontline naval fighter the F/A-18E/F.

  • I want that plane in my next bithday

  • it´s more than enough :D

  • They sent only one plane with one pilot? A bit risky.

  • Hehe, its fun if you like cheesy hollywood action...not too good as an informational video!!

  • HA HA HA! Well, a *little* bit illogical, that movie, isn't it. Just a little little bit, huh?

  • Wow. That was cringe worthy! Oh, and also a complete crock. Best line- Pilot:'SAM scrapped' WAFASS: 'He's back on track!'. Accepted RT I'm sure...

  • Cool movie
