  • Love it!!!!!!!

  • seasick steve had to be influenced by this

  • ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh yeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • wow. this is like old zztop but better

  • toVivianeOfAvalon: same here! first album

  • Oh great - Thank you for posting the great Fried Hockey Boogie!!

  • ‘Oh Boy – This was the first album that I ever bought (at age 14t)! ‘Boogie with Canned Heat’ Music albums were SO Expensive in those days that kids had to be very discerning in what music they bought!! It was obvious to discerning music kids that Canned Heat continued the great Blues tradition:

  • i have the original lp

  • i wish i could find a live version of this!!!!

  • Aint nobody can carry it like The Mole! damn i love Canned Heat!

  • Blind Owl - do your BOOGIE!

  • the sound is much like "Spirit In The Sky - Norman Greenbaum"

  • @RoXProGamer and La Grange from ZZ Top

  • fuck yeeeaaaahhhh!!!

  • Thats the day the sunflower came into being. . .

  • saquen el joint !!!!!!!!!

  • Some o this,and sum a that-no-none of that-this right here.alright...

Now play that....thats a bass there..Sound good huh?

  • lots of memories with this one...

  • go on Henry buzz a little bit

  • Spirit in the Sky was also ripped off of this

  • @julay1992 La Grange too but all three were ripped off Boogie Chillun by John Lee Hooker

  • If "anyone" needed "another proof" for "true+honest" music : HERE IT IS !!!

Thank u very much for sharing !!!

Very Best Regards To U !!!

  • Holy Cow! all that acid I dropped in the 70's-80's kicked in all at once..........phooqin groooovey !!!

  • No better front man than Bob. Ever! Keep on boogy'in

  • My childhood...what could be better!!!

  • Larry the MOLE!

  • wow al these figures

  • Forget the lyrics. The music is warning of the revolution to come. If the elites knew what the music was saying, the music would be forbidden. Not that that would change anything.....

  • If you like 'boogie music' it puts you in a special category. Within that category are those who appreciate Canned Heat. Dig it if you are able...

  • This is the greatest band ever. Saw the few surviving members in Brussels a few weeks before te Sunflower passed away. Gonna ask the classic 21 music station not to forget that the Bear left us 30 years ago this year. Love that man

  • La Grange and this sound like Boogie Chillin' by John Lee Hooker. Hooker sued ZZ Top and won. JLH collaborated with Canned Heat on a few things. JLH liked CH and they gave him the proper respect and recognition that he well deserved. ZZ Top didn't think that the took the song from Hooker but a Judge did! Blind Owl was a Blues scholar. Literally!

  • it don't get better than this folks!

  • no,la grange sounds like this, the way this sounds like boogie chillun.it all comes from somewhere,at least kow something before sounding like an idiot

  • BUZZ THAT BASS. PLUCK THAT FIDDLE

  • 'take a mouth full of sugar - drink a bottle of turpentine' I remember those 'Heat' lyrics from the album. Summer of '68 driving from Ft. Knox to MN - death in the family - listening to 'Going Up the Country' on AM radio....

Funny how hearing a song from the past brings back memories - good or bad.

  • yikes this sounds like "la grange"

  • great boogie, had the LP since it came out

  • Not in to it like I did in the 60-70 years, but still love it. One of my favorite groups back then.

  • excellent, a band of very talented musicians jamming. I just got a Best of Canned Heat album and this is on it.

  • Heard Hooker `N ' Heat?? Fantastic!

  • Best Ever!!!

  • such filthiness!! it's of a piece with "World's In A Tangle" on Future Blues, but this is just so RAW!!! Haven't heard this in 30 years, but every note came right back...thanks!!

  • check out: "la grange" by zz top. same song

  • this is the best song of canned heat

  • larry taylor also played w/ john mayall.

  • The best Rock Blues music...

  • I saw he Band in Ludwigsburg Germany 1976 - the first Rock Concert I ever went to.

Al Wilson had already left, few years later the Bear left. I loved this Band all through my young years.

  • Heard a lot of music, I play drums, Im 21. Still Canned Heat is the best combination of musicians I have ever heard.

  • Sing I've got an orgona accumulator along to this!

  • "The first to do the boogie for y'all this evening is the Blind Owl. Now the Blind Owl is from BOSTON, Massachusetts!" :)

  • sweet....that is great

  • ooooooooooo yeaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wonder if Seasick Steve ever heard this before??

  • Sounds like ZZ TOP.

  • @Damijan86 Actually ZZ sounds like them

  • @Damijan86 hmmm ZZTop (La Grange) sounds like Canned Heat. Canned are way earlier

  • Just saw canned heat in new braunfels texas..it was frkn great!! Btw if you ever get a chance to listen to any CH on vinyl it'll blow your mind

  • Re release this 4 air play!!!

  • WOW! 70,000 views..I had no idea it would be this popular. "now in order to have a good boogie you gotta have a bottom" Very Cool!!

  • @HideFromMaster Go on buzz a little bit Henry.

    Awesome!!

  • @HideFromMaster this is SO excellent!. it's 111,296 now...gonna get bigger & bigger! THANKS!

  • @ZeevaTV fuck yeah

  • @HideFromMaster

    Bottle, it's a type of guitar !

  • @HideFromMaster

Bottle, it's a type of guitar ! Joe.

  • @HideFromMaster you are lucky so far that is..they took mine entire video down automatically because of copywrite infringement. One day here..next time gone.

  • THIS IS FUCKING BRILLIANT. PERIOD. And you, people, cut the comments like "today's music is crap" or "I wish I lived in 60's". Makes me sick. I live here and now and I'm so fucking glad that I can experience music of all past decades just to appreciate bands like Canned Heat more and more everyday.

  • @Rambler009 Amen .Look a little harder

  • thank my parents I grew up in the 60's and 70's music 2day SUCKS

  • so many people look back onto this and realize that our generation (the kids of today) is just publishing crap. isn't it time to turn the tables, get together, getting some solidarity and creativity into all of this, take example on it? i mean it's sad to listen to something that's not part of your time... i'm in love with the 60s and 70s and it makes me sad because it's over. so let's get something started that we can be proud of! let's make something worthwhile of our youth!

  • funky acid rock

  • I saw these guys way back in the day, in Detroit city

Lots of fun - these guys knew how to boogie

They only played notes that mattered - no speedin' fer nothin'.

    Still Cool

  • Best boogie ever!!!!!!

  • so incredible !!! thx 4 up

  • This was the main course in 1965. On the road again was just the dessert. So called classic rock radio would have you believe this never existed. Boogie on children and I ain't talkin' Bee Gees and zoot suits!

  • Canned Heat is still one of my favorite bands in history!!

  • WHAT AN 'ERA', NOTHIN' WRAPPED IN PLASTIC 'ERE!!!

    OH FOR A TIME MACHINE,BACK i'D GO!!!!!!!1

  • Excellent a great all fave!

  • All in all, let's appreciate them all for giving us some of the greatest leg shaking music ever, because they will never be duplicated. As vendetta says, the new generation's music is mostly autotune prepackaged corporate crap that they use to brainwash kids into thinking it's COOL. These guys were genuine - let's enjoy their legacy

  • Some facts here folks: #1 John Lee Hooker is the father of boogie blues. #2 John Lee and Canned Heat recorded one of the greatest boogie blues albums ever - check out "Hooker n Heat" 1971 release, a treasure in itself, in particular the last track "Boogie Chillen No.2 , so Canned Heat were honoring their mentor in their music; #3 ZZ Top, who are a great band btw, did La Grange on the "Tres Hombres" album in 1973.

  • @exposfan77 - You are correct the "Hooker-n-Heat" album is perhaps the greatest boogie album ever made - "Let that boy boogie woogie it's in him and it's got to come out" - Juiceman

  • to nosrednugj:canned heat were first..not ZZ top;)

  • Try listening to the first 30 seconds of this song, and then listening to La Grange by ZZ Top.

  • " Yeah Baby", and we are going to do it just like this 'all night long'! Just a 'little-quote' from "my main man, Big Bob Hite" when he was "live and in living color"! 'And don't forget to boogie, boogie, boogie'!!!

  • Refriend Boogie - the BOOGIE the best and prolonged of all time

Very good and prolonged solos patient bass guitar and drums

or will they he found their inspirations

    and their improvisations ????????????????

    2 sides of vinyl 33T a perform

One of the best bands of their generation !

Thank you for remembering good times !

    * * * * *

  • boogie gods

  • they all got it from JOHN LEE HOOKER!!!!! THE INVENTER OF THE BOOGIE!!!!!!

  • @thebarnesfarm...even though a tribute to boggie chillen, heat's riffs elevated boogie

  • I KNEW that the talentless fuck Chris Isaak was stealing his only famous song from somewhere!!!!!!

  • at 4:32 on video, the SUNFLOWER comes into being...oh lordy lord...buzz a little bit for us Henry...a transendant experience for a 13 year old wanna be a guitar player kid...

  • These guys didn't take no shit

  • @iorioriorio They never did!!!

  • No, I don't, and I'm quite sure more than a moderate percentage of the viewers of this video haven't any interest in your recording project, either. But thank you for the offer.

  • canne haet es lo mejor y zz top le copio el ritmo

  • Can`t go wrong with a good old John Lee Hooker sound, nice

  • by far my fav canned heat track.

  • What the heck was FRIED HOCKEY anyways?

  • A delicious sport!

  • Please explain....

  • haha

  • last time i saw larry"the mole"taylor he played with john mayall and the blues breakers on the "USA-UNION"album tour in seattle it was so much better than average white band

  • dish me up some of that fried hockey boogie...all hail Bear and Blind Owl... this is a dubbe tune

  • that was one of my favorite songs when I was really younger

    still in 2009 ,it's excellent

  • Yep this is one of those songs that was played on an "Underground" FM station, KPPC, at 3AM. loved it.

  • Would have been even better with that legendary guitar intro solo Alan pulled off at Woodstock 1969 in the start.

  • Anybody got (and is fixed up to post) Police In Denver?

  • where the fuck was sic em pigs? coz it fucking wasnt there....

  • Anyone know where I can find tabs for this?

  • Comment removed

  • real music

  • Comment removed

  • El boogie refrito !!!

  • if you speed the intro up a bit, it sounds like the same trick ZZ top used in La Grange.

I prefer Canned Heat over ZZ top anyway

  • ZZ Top is weak compared to THE HEAT!

They ain't got that Canned Heat soul.

    Pour it on Bear!

May God Bless him and The Blind Owl!!

  • Comment removed

  • lol yeah I wonder where ZZ got it from????

  • the riff wa kind of the standerd boogie beat in the day .....every one just had their own versions of it ..... la grange just happend to be the best :D

  • Many blessings to you for posting this.

  • mike st. clair orange county 1972

  • Did you ever see Mary Butterworth out of South Gate? Played Marina Palace quite a bit...

  • Butterworth sounds familiar? but i dont remember...sorry

  • this is BOOGIE!

  • i'm 16 and my generations music is mostly crap, that's why i listen to this for musical enlightment.

  • Well under all that crap you can find some good stuff.

  • Do you like SKA?

... listen to the "New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble"

That's great stuff too, but different

  • @vendetta00 It's a breath of fresh air to hear someone my age say that.

  • @vendetta00 Just boogie, and screw the rest!!!

  • @vendetta00 im 16 too, loads of people our age like older music such as this, no offence, but its nothing special.

  • @vendetta00 ditto! It's so hard to find people my age that share similar musical interests.

  • @vendetta00 It's only mostly crap if you follow the mainstream. Our generation still comes up with gems - the problem is they are now covered with layers of shit!

  • @Speedof88 I completely agree. There is still great music coming out now. Don't forget that there was stuff from the 60s and 70s that was rubbish too but it doesn't live on like Canned Heat does and the same will happen to this age. Goodbye N Dubz, you piece of crap

  • Great song. I always loved Canned Heat.

  • Love is beautiful thing, yesss love can be found anywhere even a guitar uhuhhhh! RIP Bear

  • Great music! thanks for the post

  • thanks for this post of the orignal line up of canned heat. bear, blind owl, sunflower, the mole, and "fito" de la para and don't forget to boogie

    peace

  • I wore this album out.....twice.

  • Been a fan since 1967. Great music and the most talented band ever. Taking music from the great blues and re-making it even better.

Their music will go on forever.

    God says so.

  • Henry Vestine's guitar sounds like a hunting knife consistently jabbing someone in the stomach, not that I know what thats like ???????????? lol

  • Thats the Sunflower dude!

  • Canned Heat !!!! Sounds as good now, as it did the first time around. Tanks for posting it !!

  • I still get a longing when I remember "The Bear". RIP, brother, you ARE missed...

  • what great buzz guitar, distortion. I had the albums "Canned Heat" and "canned heat live" a two-record set. Hard to find, but CD "The Best of Canned Heat" has all their major hits, I think some live performances.

  • RIP Alan Wilson & Bob Hite

I love Henry's guitar work in this video, even better then Alans. :P

  • me inpira a seguir siendo corre caminos bike

  • this is Part one, part two is here, this song took up the whole side of a album, enjoy and Don't forget to Boggie, Boggie, Boggie!!!

  • the mole Larry Taylor was a great Bassman, Showman, my favorite bassist, seen them many times, in LA with the Doors, 5 days in a row in Detroit at the Grande Ballroom, WHAT A BAND, Miss 'em!! thanks for posting,

  • What does it matter what drugs they were into? This is about the music. I went to see Canned Heat many times and can say they were a kick-ass band. One of the most entertaining bands of that era.

  • muy bueno

  • Song is recorded in 1968.

  • This song was originally on an album called "Boogie with Canned Heat" with Bob "The Bear" Hite, Henry "Sunflower" Vestine, Allan "Blind Owl" Wilson, Larry "The Mole" Taylor and Fito de la Para. It was the best line up of the group, and once Blind Owl passed away (1970?), they were never the same.

  • Great tune but these guys were super-stoned on speed. Nowadays called Meth. Example (Amphedtamine Annie)

  • That song is about how speed kills. It's clear just by the lyrics alone that they diddn't like speed. Being the drug addicts they were, perhaps they messed around with it, but there real drug of choice was heroine.

    They were junkies.

  • Your a dumbass. There saying speed kills in that song. Talking about a person who does way to much. Alan did to much speed.

  • nevermind sorry im an idiot, i posted that b4 i heard bob talk about alan

  • what year is this recording? if its 1970 is alan wilson alive in this recording?

  • yes he is and does a very lame solo for him...

  • yes, he is the blind owl

  • AMAZING SONG

  • bands don't get any tighterr than this

  • Excelente!!!!

    que buen boogie!!!!

  • can someone please tell me how the blind owl gets that sitar sound!

  • probably just the amp settings.. it cant be so difficult :)

  • They did not go out quietly. The "blind Owls Boogie" is theme music from the t.v. series "Combat" for those not old enough to remember. Enjoy. They paid for it dearly.

  • correction - not the actual "theme" from "Combat". It was the bumper music played during action scenes.

  • It just doesn't get much better than this!!!

  • oh yeah!! awesome song!!

    time to boogie!!

  • HA HA HA ha

  • Fantastico, **********!!!

  • great song by a great band. Thanks for posting

  • This is Rak and Roll!

    taxiboysdrummer

  • I 've heard that this song is calling: "and don't forget to boogie" ,is that right?.
