Arnel has worked very hard and is VERY good, but he does NOT sound EXACTLY like Steve Perry.
Steve has a slight raspy, sultry voice that cannot be imitated by anyone. I have been listening to him for Forever!

The issue is not about who's better, Arnel or Perry, the real issue is that Journey Lives! I don't want to belittle in any way Arnel's wonderful skills, NOR overshadow Perry's legacy, I just want to state that Journey is back, and in a furiously assertive way! Wow! Fans, rejoice!

Pineda is a good singer and I don't blame him for living out his dream. With that said, Steve Perry will always be a huge part of Journey. Those who say "forget about Steve Perry" get a freakin clue. If you're a fan of Arnel Pineda, that's great. But, will you be a fan of Journey if Pineda meets a similar fate as Augeri or Soto? I imagine no.

I will always miss Steve Perry =( Ross Valory and Steve Smith left the band too because Journey without Perry didn't interest them. Journey truly will never be the same without him even if their new singer does sound like him. Steve Perry sang his heart out, and now they're all so angry at each other and my favorite band is missing three of its best members. I love Schon and Cain, but I don't want a new lead singer I just want Steve Perry back =((((((((

Yeah, but they reunited for an album and then left after Perry did. He couldn't have fired them when he wasn't in the band anymore. They left after Perry did.

sperry thought of taking over the management but when he failed, he faked his hip injury in 1996 stalling the band from touring until 1998. he wasn't fired, he fired himself out.

Everyday I've been checking for new videos of Journey with Arnel and when I find one, it really makes my day. Thanks to people like you Cuthia, I and other Pinoys in other parts of the world are able to see what's happening to our idol.
