  • "...hehehe... miracle." <- My favorite part.

  • Personally I feel even if AGW is happening, the Peak Oil/Peak Resources dynamic is a MUCH greater threat than AGW to human existence and will likely, in my opinion definitely will end the debate in and of itself, as CO2 (carbon) based fuel/energy sources will decline precipitously.

  • I will openly state that I am quite skeptical of the current AGW movement(s), they appear to have taken on a hyper politicized ideology, at the same time I STRONGLY advocate making great efforts to use less resources and move towards a sustainable way of life but this is has little to do with AGW.

  • @perseverance8 I agree with you that conservatives should actually conserve energy use.

  • @TXatheist 1000% Agreed! If or if not AGW is occurring we need to move towards more sustainable methods in our daily lives. Personally I have been constructing homemade photovoltaic panels and two 4' diameter wind turbines, I have had an excellent return with my wind turbines, I live in OK. and the wind blows strong and often. Photovoltaics are good in my area too but the cost is still pretty high for their output.

  • The emails dont tell the whole story, if youre a programmer and you take a look at the code that was run to derive projections youll find that there were various versions that were released to the public that voila show the numbers that amazingly substantiate CRUs position, while at the same time the code that was released with the "Stolen" emails/data show that what was described in the emails was quite apparent but on even a greater scale.

  • Somthin does'nt smell right. Lord Oxburgh headed the panel, whom directly will benefit from the propoesed solutions to the CO2 'problem', also there were only something like 11 references for the entire investigation!!!

  • @perseverance8 We all benefit from reducing man made global warming.

  • @TXatheist This can be true to a certain extent if in fact AGW is occurring, while at the same time if many efforts and policy making are being manipulated under the guise of deterring anthropogenic global warming (AGW) to attain other objectives, such as some kind of money making scheme, which in my opinion the currently proposed 'solutions' to AGW are advocating.

  • @perseverance8 There is a direct pattern of the percentage of c02 in our atmosphere is increasing and has done so rapidly over the last 100 years. MMGW is a money making project to stimulate our economy based on information we have from the science community. There is a reason if you go into your garage, close all the doors, get in the car and start it but don't open the exterior door you will die, gas emissions in a confined space.

  • @TXatheist I have researched many avenues and have found large amounts of conflicting information (From Legitimate Sources) regarding an apparent rise in CO2 gasses over only the last 100 years, I feel this assertion is very well touted while at the same time there are many times historically speaking of periods that show dramatically higher levels of CO2 than we see today.

  • @perseverance8 Yes, there were times when co2 in ice cores were higher and generally it was because of a massive natural disaster like a volcano eruption. However, minus those spikes the trend of c02 concentration is going up and that is the problem.

  • @TXatheist The 'MMGW' money making scheme will doubtfully benefit the masses and many in the environmentalist movement doubt the effectiveness of currently touted schemes will even have a real effect on reducing CO2 gasses but will greatly benefit the Banking Oligarchs. I guess they'll see a simulative effect from unnecessary shifting of funds.

  • @perseverance8 And the flip side of the big oil money making scheme is called "doubt". They used the exact same tactics when executives told people cigarettes weren't harmful.

  • @TXatheist There is a clear difference between shutting yourself in a garage with a running car than the emissions from vehicles. For one the scale is much exaggerated under such conditions (Garage), you also arent taking into account the increase in algae and other 'greening' that occurs under increases in CO2 gasses, as historically speaking data shows an increase of around 1/3 increase in greening of the planet in the last 30 to 40 years.

  • @perseverance8 No, just as you close yourself in a garage and suffer from gas buildup our planet does the same. The planet is not greening, it's warming.

  • It was only right wing Christian fundie types that had a problem with these emails.

  • @TheSpankymonkey Funny, I'm an athiest and a geologist and I have a BIG problem with the emails, but even more so with the avoidance of discussion from alarmists. If you think it's just "the right wing christians" you're fooling yourself. Science is science and bad science is bad science.

  • @cano21 - I don't really have a problem with them. Hell, if anyone got hold of my emails and some of the profanity i use then all hell would break loose. I read a load of them, all i saw was just the usual back and forth communication you would expect.

  • @TheSpankymonkey ; Nothing in any of the emails showed the scientists at CRU did anything wrong. None f their data was faked; all of the FOIA demands they received were fulfilled; in fact, their data has been and is still freely available for download from their web site, as well as published in science journals. "Climategate" never happened: FOX "News" made it up.

  • Of course nobody except FOX "news" brainwashed puppets thought there was such a thing as "climategate." It never happened.

  • @Desertphile LOL! It's being widely reported all over the rest of the world, but just not here in Greenie Central, aka the USA. Have you not even heard of Germany's reaction to climategate? Seriously, come out of your hole.

  • @cano21 ; I don't read the Germany news sources, so I don't know what non-USA fascist nutcases believe. Here in the USA only the ignorant and the deceived believed there was a "climategate:" no scientist or advocate of science believed it. There was no "climategate."
