for those who r watching this just a few tips always place the lamp 2ft max from the top of the plants put a fan between the plants and the lamp and always put ur exhaust fan at the top of ur box simply because hot air rises ..keep growing

dude put the lights closer to your plant, you need to keep the light moveable so your plants dont stretch, your going to have tall lanky plants like that. Keep the light about 10 to 12 inches above them in veg and raise the light as they grow. This will make your plant thicken up and get more of a bulk stem, also youll get bigger leaves. Makes a healthier plant that will produce more dense flavorful nugs :D lol im growing my first time to, just started budding my first plant, Blue Magoo
@lilguns0331 just water a tad. find an old bottle that sprays fabreeze or something. clean it. get distilled water.then water like everyday but rarly sqeeze it. ( put ur finger in the soil on the side of the pot it will let u feel how much water there is. if its rly dry like no soil sticks to ur fingers. it needs water. if to much soil sticks to much water. make some vids ill give tips )>

If the plants are not moving from the air, it's worthless. Lower your lighting as your leaves are stretching. Bad leaves mean bad buds. Leaves are the most important part of your plant ... next to the bud :)
OH, and also, it would again serve you VERY well if you lined the entire closet with refractive material. You can use tinfoil, or (my personal favourite) - You can actually use those reflective screens that you put in your car windscreen to keep heat out. When reflected in, the effects are much more desireable than tin foil :). And also, this method is great for temperature control in Winter crops.
Hey, bro! Just a suggestion, I know a lot have said the same thing - But it would serve your plants much better if you lower your lights :). You can hang them on chains from hooks at the top of your closet, so you can adjust them as the plant grows. If you are inclined towards larger plants though, you should try using Sativa plants only. Indicas = Small and bushy, Sativa = Tall and a little bit less bushy. But you can ammend that with LST training :).
Thats nice, but I think growing outdoors is more ecological and more better to the plant... I am not a expert but that is the way it should grow, in the nature... Free and growing nicely, till they are cut down and burned to death :D
the reason why it stretched was cause there was no pruning done i have one sativa plant but its short and bushy like a cush plant. you have to pick off the water leaves (very first oval leaves) when it gets about 5 inches tall and then clip the second stock when they reach 10
lower the lights. May look good to beginner but they are stretching for more light. Also do you only plan to grow once? Because you only have one area and im thinking you will vegetate and flower in the same. So where will you keep the next crop clones for vegetation?

@JazzNaySean yeah really, keep it about 6 inches away dependant on how hot your light gets. Have a fan blow on your lights to deal with hot spots. The key is to get Veg during the vegetative cycle, height is usless without the veg to back it up.
if you are concerned with fixing your lights closer to the plants, you might want to consider hanging the light from a chain so that you can adjust it more precisely
if you put the light too high, the plants will try to reach it by getting longer and higher, so if you want smaller bushes, just put the light closer...i mean the starting light....the big one could burn them of course...
i hope u dnt keep that 400 on now. they dnt need it tell there a lot bigger. that flourescent is all u need to get the size. and thats gta kill ur pg e. good luck!!!
Next time you grow your gonna need to get the light way closer to the plants, especially if your gonna be using a flourescant bulb like that one. It'll give you a shorter more condensed plants with more budding potential
your losing alot of lumens keeping the hps all the way at the top, i think you should unplug it untill budding and get some 6500k cfls to supplement some light with your current fluorescent cuz they look a lil starved
can someone tell me if ive got this right,i havent grown in a couple years so getting confused a bit lol.ive got 5 seeds in paper towels right now,when im about to put them in rockwool,do i soak them in 5.3 ph-5.5,put the seeds in then start giving them light when they are in their propogator? or do i keep them in the dark for a a bit first,then put them under the light? all suggestions appreciated,thanks
@1984LizardKing hey lizard king wuts up put em in soaked rockwools under a flourescent. once theyre in they need light... dnt put it too close cause thell have to adjust. but an easier way for me is buying cuts cause once they root all u gta do is plant em and watch em grow!!! hope i was able to help a lil. good luck!!!
@Gargar7980 thanks for your reply bro,but i already done it this way,see if it sounds decent:when the seeds cracked i put them in a propogator and just left them in a cupboard without light until they started sprouting a tiny bit,then after that ive had to take the risk of putting them under a 600w hid lol kept it 120 cms away though, the seedlings are about 3 inches so far.think one might be getting burnt a little though,the leaves are turning up so keeping that one in the shade lol

.the fan isnt positioned very good try puttung it straight down abouve the hood and i like it when the fan moves and hits one plant then goes to the next it makes sure that they arnt gunna get wind burnt and it looks cool to see all the plants moving at a different time. and tere are way to many plants for that small of a space i like to grow one big plant u dont have to worry about watering as much and i got 2 extra ounces in my personal smoke room with one plant instead of 4
you should try putting somethign liek a 6" fan in there to blow on the plants, that will help a lot with the stem because they'll try and thicken it, but when you do that, the plant concentrate's on growing stem, i say you should LST, and have 1-2 big plants. then they'll plop over and concentrate on bud production. Nice set up though.
Growing from seeds isnt the way to go man. Look at those weak stems with no nodes... Veg the shit out of those, take clones off of em, and veg em right. You should have a node ever 3/4 inch at least not every 7 inches.
Am I the only one that trims 1/2 the leaf to shock the plant into increasing root growth, thicken the trunk, and get more light into the bottom? Why do you have the intake at the top of the cabinet mate, hot air rises. best to have the intake at the bottom and the exhaust at the top so you can get rid of the hot air from your lighting.other then that gratz on your 1st grow room mate, Hope you spend the money you make on upgrades :)

@weeltsnookies,yea if they even make it that far,most likely they will dampen off & tip over and die before that if hes not careful and doesnt change something,needs to get rid of that hid light up at the top too,use it for another area ,and use about 6 2' fl tubes to start the seedlings ,them move them under the hps or mh,put 2 2' fl tubes on top almost if not touching the tops of the seedlings,&have 2 2' fl tubes horizon mounted on each side of the seedlings about 3 or 4 inches apart verticaly
all you are doing with that hid light up at the top is adding excess heat & wasting light and electricity,u should have 8 plants under the flouro and another area with 8 under the hid,when the ones under the flouro get out o the seedling stage move them to the other area with the hid,then either start new seedling from seed or cut clones off of the ones under the hid & put them under the flouro so you get a rotation going,a 3rd hid would be best for a rotation set up but dont know if u have room
yeah dude there getting too tall and stringy ,you need to put the light closer to the tops of the plants,i would put more flourecent tubes on the sides like 2 ,2 foot tubes on each side and another one on top for a total of 6 2' tubes 2 on top and 2 on each side mounted horizontaly,your set up is all wrong,make 2 seperate areas i with flourecent tubes and 1 with the hid mh or hps,start them under the flouro,then move then under the hid,and use the flouro to start more so you can rotate them
No your wrong my friend.. The difference, between Sativa and Indica, is the kind of high you get.. Sativa, makes you mental high, were Indica is more of a sleepy skunk :) But the plants in the video, could also be Indica, or a cross in between :)
you guys are not going to belief how i grew 6 skunk plants i didnt use any equipment no electrik lamp or ventilation I found this vegateble grow pouder first tried it on a chielie plant and it worked its a type off chiellie that grows very hard and is sensetieve then grew 6 plants of skunk in 3 weeks my plants went to 35 cm tall and they where very healty and still smoking it i grew it on the window ledge right in front off my neighbours in the summer and still enjoying it
HELP NEEDED ASAP PLEASE my plant is 22 days old from seed the little round leaves at the bottom are turning yellow and the stem is shedding a purple layer of skin underneth that layer is a bright green stalk is this normal or should i take action
@six6gunns there at 75 F under 2 24 watt CFLs it shedded the layer of skin then the stem got really thick the strain is lemon skunk from GHS it turned out fine

@JazzNaySean yeah really, keep it about 6 inches away dependant on how hot your light gets. Have a fan blow on your lights to deal with hot spots. The key is to get Veg during the vegetative cycle, height is usless without the veg to back it up.

if you are concerned with fixing your lights closer to the plants, you might want to consider hanging the light from a chain so that you can adjust it more precisely

if you put the light too high, the plants will try to reach it by getting longer and higher, so if you want smaller bushes, just put the light closer...i mean the starting light....the big one could burn them of course...

Next time you grow your gonna need to get the light way closer to the plants, especially if your gonna be using a flourescant bulb like that one. It'll give you a shorter more condensed plants with more budding potential

your losing alot of lumens keeping the hps all the way at the top, i think you should unplug it untill budding and get some 6500k cfls to supplement some light with your current fluorescent cuz they look a lil starved

can someone tell me if ive got this right,i havent grown in a couple years so getting confused a bit lol.ive got 5 seeds in paper towels right now,when im about to put them in rockwool,do i soak them in 5.3 ph-5.5,put the seeds in then start giving them light when they are in their propogator? or do i keep them in the dark for a a bit first,then put them under the light? all suggestions appreciated,thanks

@1984LizardKing hey lizard king wuts up put em in soaked rockwools under a flourescent. once theyre in they need light... dnt put it too close cause thell have to adjust. but an easier way for me is buying cuts cause once they root all u gta do is plant em and watch em grow!!! hope i was able to help a lil. good luck!!!

@Gargar7980 thanks for your reply bro,but i already done it this way,see if it sounds decent:when the seeds cracked i put them in a propogator and just left them in a cupboard without light until they started sprouting a tiny bit,then after that ive had to take the risk of putting them under a 600w hid lol kept it 120 cms away though, the seedlings are about 3 inches so far.think one might be getting burnt a little though,the leaves are turning up so keeping that one in the shade lol

@1984LizardKing well 4 is better then none!! u have to always b willing to loose 1 or 2 thats why its good to have extra.i still think the 600 is to strong(flourescents r perfect for this stage)the 600 uses way more pge and im sure thats why there getting burnt. but if u c it workin dnt let me confuse ya.jst keep ur eye on em.i live in northern cali and if theres anyway i can help hit me up.growing ur medical is like a religion out here!!

.the fan isnt positioned very good try puttung it straight down abouve the hood and i like it when the fan moves and hits one plant then goes to the next it makes sure that they arnt gunna get wind burnt and it looks cool to see all the plants moving at a different time. and tere are way to many plants for that small of a space i like to grow one big plant u dont have to worry about watering as much and i got 2 extra ounces in my personal smoke room with one plant instead of 4

you should try putting somethign liek a 6" fan in there to blow on the plants, that will help a lot with the stem because they'll try and thicken it, but when you do that, the plant concentrate's on growing stem, i say you should LST, and have 1-2 big plants. then they'll plop over and concentrate on bud production. Nice set up though.

Growing from seeds isnt the way to go man. Look at those weak stems with no nodes... Veg the shit out of those, take clones off of em, and veg em right. You should have a node ever 3/4 inch at least not every 7 inches.

Am I the only one that trims 1/2 the leaf to shock the plant into increasing root growth, thicken the trunk, and get more light into the bottom? Why do you have the intake at the top of the cabinet mate, hot air rises. best to have the intake at the bottom and the exhaust at the top so you can get rid of the hot air from your lighting.other then that gratz on your 1st grow room mate, Hope you spend the money you make on upgrades :)

oh yea thats why i asked ,i only ever tried sour diesel and sour diesel hash,havent tried jack herra yet,i wish i lived in cali,but i do live in boston ,we have decriminalization of under an ounce here ,,but cali dont,but we dont have legal medical use ,but 3 out of the other 5 new england states here do have legal medical use ,my cousing moved to maine and had a perscripton and a care giver,all 3 states are only arround an hour away,but there not a free for like cali,yet

@weeltsnookies,yea if they even make it that far,most likely they will dampen off & tip over and die before that if hes not careful and doesnt change something,needs to get rid of that hid light up at the top too,use it for another area ,and use about 6 2' fl tubes to start the seedlings ,them move them under the hps or mh,put 2 2' fl tubes on top almost if not touching the tops of the seedlings,&have 2 2' fl tubes horizon mounted on each side of the seedlings about 3 or 4 inches apart verticaly

all you are doing with that hid light up at the top is adding excess heat & wasting light and electricity,u should have 8 plants under the flouro and another area with 8 under the hid,when the ones under the flouro get out o the seedling stage move them to the other area with the hid,then either start new seedling from seed or cut clones off of the ones under the hid & put them under the flouro so you get a rotation going,a 3rd hid would be best for a rotation set up but dont know if u have room

yeah dude there getting too tall and stringy ,you need to put the light closer to the tops of the plants,i would put more flourecent tubes on the sides like 2 ,2 foot tubes on each side and another one on top for a total of 6 2' tubes 2 on top and 2 on each side mounted horizontaly,your set up is all wrong,make 2 seperate areas i with flourecent tubes and 1 with the hid mh or hps,start them under the flouro,then move then under the hid,and use the flouro to start more so you can rotate them

No your wrong my friend.. The difference, between Sativa and Indica, is the kind of high you get.. Sativa, makes you mental high, were Indica is more of a sleepy skunk :) But the plants in the video, could also be Indica, or a cross in between :)

you guys are not going to belief how i grew 6 skunk plants i didnt use any equipment no electrik lamp or ventilation I found this vegateble grow pouder first tried it on a chielie plant and it worked its a type off chiellie that grows very hard and is sensetieve then grew 6 plants of skunk in 3 weeks my plants went to 35 cm tall and they where very healty and still smoking it i grew it on the window ledge right in front off my neighbours in the summer and still enjoying it

@six6gunns there at 75 F under 2 24 watt CFLs it shedded the layer of skin then the stem got really thick the strain is lemon skunk from GHS it turned out fine

@heidiemandcarles pot does nothing at all thats negative to your health; if it did, doctors would'nt perscribe it to their patients. the only reason it illegal in most states is so people don't walk around stoned. possibly the only downside to smoking pot is you may get a smoker's cough for about 5-10 min after you smoke it, but thats not that bad. i know ALOT of people who light up many times a week and it does not effect them at all, and sometimes they do better on tests when they're high.
