  • Awesome.

  • I love Alberta!

  • What a pathitic little troll you are.Your parents have my condolences for how you have turned out in life. That reply shows just what you think of freedom of expression, great as long as it's your opinion.

  • That was fucking awesome.

  • "all over that state"?!?Maybe you should get the hell out of CANADA!!!Jackass

  • @williamcollishaw1

Spoken like a true Texan/Right Wing Amerikan:

"IF Y'ALL DON'T LIKE IT, (even if you have a valid reason that is verifiable), THEN GIT OUT OF HERE! FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION IS ONLY FOR FOLKS ON OUR SIDE!!"

Thanks for proving my point fuktard.

Any chance your a born and(in)bred native of Oilberta?

  • Full on Canadian rock nerdgasm on this one!!!!

  • How did such a cool tune get so sucked into the hate you guys are propagating? Go Gordie, Go Trews, Go Big Sugar, Go Chris Kirby! We love you all!

  • AWESOME !!! Love this song !! Great live take !

  • That was awesome.

  • this is an awesome song!

  • this is an awesome song!

  • most underated canadian muscian in our decade. gordie johnson is incredible. super nice guy and so talented, props from the cornerstone, kenora ontario we loved your set and cant wait until you return to this tiny little town to rock out. totally mind-fucking-blowing. keep on keepin' on

  • @burnheavensgate that was a great show and the only thing that i didn't like was gordie not playing this song.

  • medicine hat is great.

  • this song is about a place in Alberta, not about retarded crackheads from newfoundland. You people are so pathetic trying to pretend its about you, get a life. If it was about you I'm sure it would be in the lyrics of the song. Gords from Manitoba, he's definitely not singing about u retards, but keep pretending if it makes u feel special.

  • @assology101

    orato. com / entertainment / big - sugars - g ordie - j ohnson

Try reading, you might learn something fuckface. Come on out to NB if you ever wanna dance.

  • @assology101 Can you please try and not make all Albertans look as stupid and bigoted as you please fuckface?

  • @DJIconoclast

I just escaped Oilberta after four years there, in Redneckistan.

My experience is there's a REAL good chance of running across carbon copies of assology all over that state.

  • @ROOKTABULA

Does your single-minded uneducated response not take away from that though and point it it is the same anywhere? Alberta is a province and redneckistan makes no sense as a nickname. Also *there is a very high chance, not REAL good. I would also ask what parts of Alberta you were in during your stay? I come from Edmonton which is the liberal central of Alberta and has almost as high a population of Calgary and these "redneck hicks" are few and far apart in the city.

  • @DJIconoclast

"Does your single-minded uneducated response not take away from that though and point it it is the same anywhere?"

Did you type that with your mouth full of marbles?! It was the textual equivalent.

    For fux aches...

Alberta-to 1 who has been in every REAL province-is VERY much more like a US state.

I will grant you that E-town is the only oasis in that otherwise culturally barren, regressive, narrow minded shit hole of land mass. But that's damning praise.

  • @ROOKTABULA *point out that is is. Sorry.

    For fux aches?

    FYI: Alberta, to anyone who...

It is not culturally barren or regressive. It is open-minded.

All of these statements are correct when you compare it to the United States and most other countries.

  • @DJIconoclast Alberta saved my ass, Love it here. Let those jealous idiots from the states bash us....it doesnt matter. Would you be offended if a homeless person made fun of your clean clothes or house....its pretty much the same thing.

    (IM assuming ROOK is amerikan)

  • @assology101

    Asshology-

You should maybe shut the fuck up and be sure of your facts before you talk like you have any.

Gordie himself has said it was about Newfoundlanders working the rigs in that dirty, soulless state, (not a province), in print?

Don't believe me, oh retarded one?

Go pick up Hit and Run and read the liner notes.

Oh and as for your other fails:

Gordie: Born in Windsor, grew up in AB, moved to TO. Spends half his time in Texass.

Award for Ignorant Troll of the Year.

  • I love this tune but I think it is kind of toungue in cheek. If Heaven to you is having lots of money...working all hours of the day..not seeing your family...entertaining your kids with electronics because your to lazy to do it then you can have your Heaven....To the rest....see you in Hell!

  • And just so everyone reading this is clear. This song is all about Atlanters, and all those hard working Peeps who decide to come to Alberta. Kudos to Y'all for checkin it out. Did I mention Gordie rocks? Thanks again Bud for telling it as it is.

    Luv, Red

  • Well @brfowlie.

Nice to see you had a comment about the song you lurker. Just like most Atlanters, you cant hack it by the ocean so you come to Alberta to reap the benifits. So I say once again that Alberta is the best place in the world to live and Big Sugar got it right. Good for Gordie.

  • @reedqcd

Actually, I've never been to Alberta except in passing through. I still live here, in NB, and will until I get into the army. Then, if I have no other choice, I might live outside of Edmonton. I'd rather be in Gagetown though. Out here, it's different, still a sweet place to live. I'm sure the 'Bert ain't all bad :)

  • i luv the part where the guy says...."wow could that get any funner" they looked super tight, but in the same sense. They were improving. maybe the Trews heard the song, but they didnt know it. True pros for sure

  • I'm slightly baffled by the lack of comments here. This is me for real Peeps. All of it. divorce to working my azz off. and to you folks who hate MY oilsands, I have 1 comment for you.... does your computer use electricity? its like wearing nylons to an oil protest. Think before you speak because we in Alberta have the actual best lives in the world. Sorry Suks to be you. lol

  • @reedqcd

Hate to burst your bubble, but it's the Atlantic Canadians that have it made. This is THE best place to be in Canada. Without us you wouldn't have even HALF the workforce you do to exploit the sands. We come there to work, but we come back here to LIVE. By the way, people who hate the oil sands do so with good reason, but yes. They're hypocrites. Thanks for pointing that out, I'm sure no one who actually matters had noticed.

  • @brfowlie "Atlantic Canadians" - also known by locals as NEWFIE RETARDS, yes even u. I'd love to meet u in person and beat your fucking head in for being such a fucking homo. Is it MANDATORY for RETARDED newfies to CAPITALIZE random words? You're a pathetic piece of shit who knows nothing about life, rot in hell u fucking faggot.

  • @assology101

You have issues if you're gonna let a comment on youtube get you THAT riled up. See a doctor, get some chill pills, etc... I'll PM you my address so you can come out here and try it though tough guy. I'd love to slit your throat and fuck the wound. PS I'm in New Brunswick. Retard.

  • @assology101

And the "random capitalization", as you like to call it, is for emphasis. You ignorant, vacuous wanker.

  • @assology101 It's people like you that give "mainlanders" a bad name. For the record, I saw Big Sugar play over Halloween and he said that All Hell For A Basement is an anthem for Newfoundlanders working away. So suck it, you interprovincial-xenophobic piece of shit. Did a Newfoundlander fuck your girlfriend or something? That's not too far-fetched, because ladies love us.

  • @stephenlethbridge

    You forgot all the "eh's"

  • @stephenlethbridge Thank you , been trying to find an easy way to describe that for years......Interprovincial-xenophobe. Perfect.

  • Basement,guess I upgraded,I own a trailer!!!Maritimers rock!!!!!!!!!!!
