I can't pretend to know the first thing about violin playing, but this piece looks pretty intense. Bacewicz is one of my favorite composers, and one can see lots of her best stylistic techniques at work in this virtuostic little gem. Anyone who hasn't looked into her violin sonatas and string quartets is missing out big time.

WOW. One wonders why Bacewicz is so neglected in the musical world. I had the pleasure to see Krystian Zimerman doing parts of the Second Piano Sonata as an encore once and that too was a magical experience. Do you have more of this on offer? ;-)
