  • if the operator is being told to suspend the 2nd container over the exsisting truck to save time. he better do it. gues whod be without a paycheck at the end of the week. thats NOT the way i would run things, but my job has me doin some pretty retarded things that violate saefty too. But keepin my family alive and makin payment means i gotta do what im told.Im pretty sure the pier would have said something to the effect of WTF are you doing suspending a container like that if it was HIS wrong.

  • He is not saving any time waiting over the truck like that. Does the next truck just drive under?

    Also, landing on the can that hard can make the stackers re-lock, yet he hoists up full speed. Not floating it to make sure it is free.

    We do things much differently here in Vancouver.

  • The stacker men, and carts are before, or after the truck's path at our port. It isn't safe for them to work under the crane there. Stuff falls all the time.

    A good operator would never suspend the load over anyone like that.
