I really wanted balsa taunda and chagum to gather and live happily ever after .. The king is so mean I mean telling chagum to forget bout balsa who does he think he is . I know for a fact that chagum will never forget bout balsa the spirit wielder and most precious. I'm sure they will meet again very soon. And I agree that balsa does got to do one last thing and that is going back to her homeland and get revenge but hey who knows..? ^^ wished they'd make a second series.. This anime never gets

It is slightly different. She went back to her homeland to mourn Jiguro.Tanda says that "There's another person that only she can put rest." It is Jiguro’s soul.Balsa had ran away from their homeland when she was young. Jiguro had to run away with Balsa. It means give up his life. For be deprived of his life, she feels responsible. So she has to mourn him that way in their homeland.

She is going to apologize to his family rather than revenge.

This must be the most epic anime series I've ever watched. Ending is satisfactory... I'm really glad they leave some space for the viewers to imagine what happens after this. I have no idea how to get the book or this anime but if I ever come across this I'll definitely buy it! Till then I hope this stays on youtube for rewatching and for others to be totally stunned by this.

This was a great anime.

Although i do have to say that i was disappointed because i wanted to see more fighting. This was like 75% of the reason why i kept watching, to see her fight, the other 25% was because it had a great storyline. 

(was hoping for some great battle scene with the swordsmen the whole time)

thanks for uploading this!The quality was amazing and obviously the show was too. Finally, a satisfying ending of an anime, though probably because it was a book first... i was so tired of the endings of anime where they look up into the sky and there's all this symbolism that leaves you more ambivalent and unsatisfied about what the heck happened. I hope they realize that it doesn't always have to be depressing or symbolic to be good.

Basilisk was good, but the art stlyle kind turned me off who has a ball sac looking chin and his the emperior or was he a shugan...? well it was a good amine teach that love is a bitch sometimes. you can also call it a Japanese version of Romeo and Juliet XD. go to love the ninja though.
