  • Finding and following abandoned railroad beds is easiest after snow has fallen. Great pictures. Excellent job. These pictures would be a good addition to the Google Earth path of the N.J. Cut-Off, if not already added. I was sorry the grade leading up to the west end of the Delaware Viaduct wasn't photographed through the leafless branches, matching the view filmed by someone who stood in the cold to record DL&W steam engines approaching, and coming off the viaduct between 1937 & 1940.

  • @HaloCE14 If the State of NJ goes through with the funding, it will be. They are starting to work on it in Andover, supposedly. Even though Christie has killed the project into NYC, this project is put in the NJDOT's long term plans. There is some hope.
