man i wish you well. I know from experience about how excitng making your own personal program up that works great with your schedule, so good on you. It sounds like nearly all of us P90X'ers are making hybrid workouts. Look at me, I am doing what I call "Hybrid Home Fitness". Why don't you give "Insanity" a shot? I have never worked to hard with that program and combining P90X weight training with the cardio of Insanity is a perfect combo. Good luck with the diet too.
p90x rocks on week 7 about to jump to insanity workout after my 90 days. will alternate between that and upper plus workouts. Keep going don't quit I know people who had amazing results. Thats what keeps me going.
I was on a roll, with my P90x.....key word Was. I ended up getting sick...like almost dead sick. the meds i was on made me gain weight like crazy.....I am now healthy enough to begin the process again. your videos really helped inspire me. so I start on the 15th and wont stop to look back,...but im just doing regular P90X.
Seems like you're putting a lot more focus on the aerobic activity than the muscle activity, which is primarily the best thing to aim for if you're looking for weight loss instead of bulking up.
I'm going to have an ice cold Miller Lite for my recovery drink. NOT!!! I wouldn't drink that rat piss no matter how drunk I get!! I'm only getting drunk to celebrate getting to my goal however, not during ;)
Working out 3x a day seems excessive to me(and I work out 6 days a week), especially when doing HIIT. I've seen it recommended that you don't over-do it with HIIT due to the stress on the CNS.
There are probably more efficient ways to go about it than this way, but good luck to you man.
I appreciate the info, but it's only going to be HIIT in the morning, and then a light version in the evening after weight training. The mid day is just a walk to get the blood flowing. I'll keep you posted on how it's going. This is a work in progress. ;)
This will be interesting. The whole point of the way p90x is laid out keeps your body from reaching a peak then flattening out. The fac30 workout will most likely disturb this process. The other notable thing is the elimination of things like yoga. It may seem gay, but probably 50% of your muscle mass gain is due to the stretching and tearing and recirculation of blood to those muscles. Elimination of the stretching aspect may hinder positive growth. Time will tell. Good luck my friend.
Looking good Phat Kid! Best of luck with your new challenge!

Well, I think they both go hand in hand and I would never just go full aerobic. I just think P90X needed a "tweak" for someone like myself. :)
