  • How do you keep your sand that clean. I would just stir it up and it would get picked up by the filter. But I had a hard time keeping the sand that white.

  • they need a ph of 8 and its easy to keep the PH high with rocks that make the ph high... also depends on ur tap water's PH if its low 7's then its kinda tricky when u do water changes but not impossible... i love my Mbuna

  • you can get Cichlid sand which helps keep the PH around 8 as well.

  • can you recommend some mildy aggressive cichlids for a 55g? this is what i have: 2 Yellow labs 2 Afra Cichlids 1 peacock cichlid 2 electric blue johannis 1 red tailed shark 2 bumble bee cichlids 1 eureka red cichlid 1 demonasi cichlid 2 azureus cichlid i would like to keep about 25-30 and i only have 14 so please tell me if my combonation is good and name some other, hardy and semi aggressive cichlids. tell me if those will work. mention some mbuna/malawi cichlids. awesome tank!

  • you clean sand with an ----- and you suck it up with your mouth and then let it come in a bucket.. and then you have to put some new sand in but first wash the sand before you throw it in..:) i am from netherlands and i have a aquarium like him..look at my video:) and I don't know the name of ------ that's why i call it ---- and a very nice aquarium wilddolphin

  • Beautiful tank! I used a white crushed coral substrate in my largest tank 225 gallon, filled with Texas holey rock. I live in central texas so its easy for me to get. I also have a smaller 75 gallon tank as well with all tanganika cichilds.. that one is blue crushed coral substrate with the pristine white holey rock. The contrast in color is awesome
